    FAO K-Tec racing

FAO K-TEC Racing I cant get anti roll bar outer links (one of mine has snapped) for my Clio 16v, I have your catalogue but dont see them in it, neither standard or powerflex ones. Do you stock them as I cant get them locally and will need to order them from somewhere. Cheers, promised sale...

Anybody ordered anything from this crowd

You know you could stiffen the anti roll bar you have got, with some strategic welding and plating, have seen it done, but can look scruffy. Have you tried Demon Tweaks as I am sure they stock uprated antirollbar kits from third party motorsport manufacturers. Alex M

Anybody ordered anything from this crowd

Looking to find anti roll bar outer link bushes(with bolt), and dpmotorsport seem to be the only place on internet I can find them to order. I happily order from likes of BBperformancetuning, K-Tec and Hill Power etc but none of these people have them to sell (unless I am mistaken). So might...

    Bumper Mounting - Help Needed

Brun Mate, if I recall correctely, the reason one side of mine was hanging very bad was because the plastic round the mounting hole had cracked. If you have a soldering iron you can plastic weld a lot of these cracks back together, although in the end i used a strip of metal and a self tapper to...

    Bumper Mounting - Help Needed

The bumpers on my 16v, I have had to remount before, after having taken it off once before. There are not the most solid and its hard to get them to stay up when they have started to hang. Couple of washers helps. Knowing Renault I would imagine RT bumpers are the same. On the 16v there is a nut...

    Powerflex anti roll bar bushes

Upon changing my ball joints on my valver recently i noticed (amazed MOT man did not) my passenger anti roll bar link (where it attaches to wishbone) was sheared off. This would explain my cars preference for cornering better in one direction than the other, and it might explain the knocking...

    Clio 16v Questions

Sorry Nick, didnt mean that the way it might have sounded, what I meant to say was that one of the quicker valvers on the forum had actually done about 140k, thought it was yours, but obviously not, am I imagining it or does someone have a quick clio thats on a suprisingly high miles, or is...

    Tyre Choice - Opinions Needed

Falkens are ok, just finishing a set off, they were not too bad. Replaced front two with Uniroyal Rainsports, £141 for two front (205/45/16) fitted and balanced. They are suprisingly capable in the dry, but as soon as the roads are even slightly damp they are unbelieveble. Car grips at the front...

    Clio 16v Questions

Engines are solid and a looked after 16v should reach 150k easily. Its all the other stuff that goes, but in certain situations if all the usuall stuff has gone and been fixed, the car can get a second wind, and run for ages without trouble (pretty sure Nick Reads has done in excess of 100k and...

    grinding noise wen brakin!

put copaslip on back of pads when reassembling, helps to prevent noises, clean and paint your calipers and back plates so they stay cleaner. If still noisy etc and pads and disks are okay, get some pad mounting kits for new pins, springs and clips. Squeaking brakes are annoying and a pain in...

16v & williams - When and how much

Date of Purchase: April 2001 Price: £3800 Year: Dec 94 on M plate Model: Standard White 16v Think I got a good deal at time, the car was on forecourt at £4600, and was very clean without being mint. Anybody want to hazard a guess at its current value, cause a mate has offered me £2600. Dont...

    REAR WHEEL BEARINGS 16V

I did the rear bearings on mine recently, not really a bad job at all. The only problem is getting the bearings in and out of the hub, really need a press. Getting the hubs out is a piece of piss though, so you could do that and then take the hubs and new bearing to a garage with a hydraulic...

    Accelerating 16v

Its weird but I am positive my valver pulls quicker and cleaner, not at full throttle (pedal floored) but just a little bit off the floor. Anybody else find this, or is it a peculiarity of me, my car or both, hmm Alex M

    Alternator

It is possible there is nothing wrong with it, my own dim a little when I do my windows also, just wait till it does go and then the solution will present itself. gearbox or bearings

Yeah probably the bearings, when you do them I highly recommend you change the ball joints since you will probably be taking the hub off too, you are as well to, as you cant them off without f&*cking them anyway. Also make sure bearings are pressed fit (whether you do it yourself or in a garage)...

The possible demise of the site

This thread grew quick, big mix of people, there are always going to be disagreements and clickyness, nobody should take anything seriously. Alternator

A good way of telling if your regulator is on its way out is at low idle the lights on the dash will fluctuate slightly in thier brightness at a quick tempo, it usually dissappears when revs rise a little. If the voltage drops significantly when cranking then it is a sign that battery is not...
