I just ordered 8gb. I think 12gb will be enough for now although it was tempting for 16gb.

I'm sure i've read somewhere it can support up to 32gb. Although I obviously have the 2011 version.

I ordered my iMac recently with 4gb RAM. I am keen to upgrade the RAM by another 8gb (2 x 4gb). Just wanted to confirm that you can mix and match or should I keep it all the same? e.g order 4 no. 4gb cards rather than have 2 no. 4gb and 2 no. 2gb. Thanks

iMac ordered. Didn't go for baller spec 27" :( I keep telling myself 21.5" is enough.
