another one for megs indurance tyre gel.
I have tried autoglymm tyre dressing all the other spray stuff, then found detailing stuff and megs was recommended. just dont add too much and make sure tyres are really clean
my old. 1.6 started to do this after autoglass replaced the passenger window. I took the trim off and put it back on with the sticky stuff from renault, no more wet floor. might help if you not checked, or if it not coming from window
my 172 with power steering had what seems to be described (does that one have power steering?) in my case it was the power steering pump that was the problem
smiler_ clean out your inbox geez.
I will be attempting to record some video in car at 60-70 in case anyone amight be interested, I however didn't have the time to record it before though.
thats the original my quiet one looks the same as that, just standard quiet, really good for anyone after silent ss exhaust, but again I have not heard anything other then standard renault and the stealth btb
Thanks for the reply.
I have to say the BTB wasn;t 2 miles away loud!! but I appreciate what you mean. :approve:
I am trying to be careful here as I don't want to p!ss anyone off, or stop people considering the stealth.
The journey back 2 hours I was so pleased that I could hear all the wind...
First let me give you some information, I am faily old now 32 and married. I have a clio 172 Ph2 one 51 plate.
I am not interested in performance in any way as its my wife's car, she is also not interested in performance.
I am however interested in longevity of the exhaust and therefore...
don't the 1.6 have 4 coil pencil things, with my old 1.6 I had same as above, also had burning smell from exhaust, and it went into limp mode. easiest thing to do is to disconnect 1 at a time, and find the one thats not working
I got the Astrum ones from ecp for my old clio 1.6 (think they are all the same).
it was a bit sh1t really, looked fine from far away and even fairly close once it was fitted, but it felt much cheaper then the oem one but it was 20quid cheaper.
wait for some 2nd hand ones I guess
I don't think autoglass use glass from Renault, at least they didn't for me with my old 1.6 clio.
Passenger window they used whatever crap they use and the color (greenish) was all wrong, so I told them and asked them to fit a proper one from renault, then in matched.
Windscreen I ask for...
i got that email aswell. i replied back and said thry should offer a group buy. no reply though.
btw nice one op. keeping these in the shed till they r needed
check the bearing, jack up car hold your hand on the spring and spin the wheel, if you can feel vibrations in the spring its that one. if your not sure (I never am) do another side and see the difference (unless they both screwed)
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
When I did mine the other week, I drilled small pilot holes in the splitter first, then lined it up and used self tap screws to bumper, seemed to work o.k
and to squibby, you the man, morotline dartford (do skoda and renault parts) already knew what I...
Evil - If I would of known! maybe thats a tip for someone else
172Ben I am utterly crap at pouring oil, and I couldn't see easily how to get in from the top, I coul dof moved the stock airbox I suppose.
I guess its more for people who not done it before, it makes it very very easy, well I...
it really worked well I was suprised.
On my old 5gtt I changed it years ago with a funnel and flexi hose, I was so worried pouring it in though.
With this you stick the hose in the gearbox and it fits in with room to spare. I just carried on till it all pssd out then did the plastic nut...
Anyone interested in changing their gearbox oil I used

hope it helps someone.

I never been able to wiggle a wheel like that! maybe I just too weak. When you get the humming noise and you think its a bearing and dont know which one, jack up car, spin the wheel with your hand, hold the spring at the same time, if you can feel anything in the spring wheel bearing most likely...
I am just getting the 2 bolts and the nuts to hold on the fuel rail guard heatshield. i dont remember what they quoted think it was 3 or 4 quid each. but i'll post part no and price i paid on monday
