It aint quite that bad. A top spec PC will play games at a good standard for about 2 years before an upgrade is needed. But as I said you get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for in gaming so I think I’ll stick to PC’s. The new 8800 cards combined with up and coming quad core processors will kick ass. You can’t beet a PC for truly smooth, fluid and detailed gaming although the Xbox is a good laugh when the lads come over for a beer.
Currently £921 with 4.5 hours to go. Gona put it into my watched items should be a good laugh:D

PS3 for only 550 quid!! Bargain put me down for 2!!
If its just for the 360 you could get a widescreen TFT monitor and the 360 HD-VGA cable. you can get a 22" widescreen TFT for about 250 now and about a tenner for the cable
i managed to drop my gameboy in the bath once. i know it's not a laptop but the airing cupboard for a couple of days sorted it out
-----edit------
laptop keyboards dont cost to much
I’ll second that.
I use to all the time to connect to my PC from mates houses. Great tool if you have broadband at both ends, its just like sitting at your PC.
