The car I posted has had serious money spent on it, 5kish on exhaust system, 11k on supercharger, 4k on suspension..... But he works on oil rigs so has the money to spend
What's performace like compared to the amg? I drove a e63 the other week and I hate to say it the 63 engine wasn't as kick you in the back as much as the 55 only thing I prefered was the 7 speed box.... Don't people say the m5 box is a pain around town? Or is that the new one? Looks good though...
just got my space grey 6.... I'm shocked that the space grey is no where near as dark as the space grey on my iPad air, intact i thought they had sent a silver rather than grey...
Acids car is running the stage 3 so 800bhp plus.... He is well worth the journey for any merc work! By far one of it not the best merc specialist in the uk! They do exhaust work too! And a brand new dyno room :)
Yes gear knob works, turns engine on and off with keys in pocket :)
as as for not bothering with mods, that's just not me I'm afraid lol, headers are a must just as the stock ones are so restrictive, the car is basically stock apart from x pipe, resonator delete and baffles removed and c63's...
Gave her a wash
and got her a new knob it's the newer version keyless go knob and looks a million times better :)
been saving some some money and will be doing exhaust headers and supercharger pulley along with a tune sometime before Xmas, should make it 600+bhp hopefully :) looking to do...
Erm if it has the omp removed then you need to use 2 stroke oil in the fuel tank with the fuel, not a fully synth oil.... The 2 stroke will be better and cut down on the carbon build ups.
When are you going to take on new testers? I'm dying to be part of the test group and I'm ending up buying most af products anyway so some products to test would be great!
As above I wouldn't want to spend less than 9-10k anything less is probably a 2002-2003 (mines a 2004) and you will probably be looking as suspension replacement and brakes etc which will bring a 5-6k car up to 10k if done properly.
as for performance bargain or money pit.... I'm saying...
As above it's the Emergancy brake you are supposed to use it when you park on a hill... Then to take it off you pull a handle and it comes off with a bang.... I never use it lol!
The he splitter was from America it fits really well and is well made :) just found out a guy who works with my...
Yes, most of the guys on the uk clubs who have a 55k have a pulley and tune which will bump over the 500bhp mark...
some in America are running with a lot of mods hitting 600 and some above...
needed new rear discs and pads, went oem for the fact it was fairly cheap (discs and pads and sensor...
Ok I needed a wet dry vac, so after looking online I found the Titan range at screw fix, I only wanted something cheap so these were perfect, I paid £49.99 and the thing has impressed me!
Not only does it have a suction that is better than our Henry and Dyson, there are no stupid filters so...
1000bhp at the crank or at the wheels? Looks good so far though :) ccw wheels are nice but surely you will want 12" wide rears? Will that fit on stock arches?
Was about to ask the same question, I like lather and have just ran out but preferred the old version, the new one doesn't smell as nice and doesn't seem as slick as the old one and seems to dry on really quickly!
I was thinking g wash but was going to check out others opinions first....
To be honest I will be happy with 600 I will most likely go crank pulley next and then headers after that and stop there otherwise I will be going mad! Would love to stick a new weistec supercharger on it but then that's 7k for 800bhp lol I will defo do a LSD too
edit with my exhaust mods so...
520-540 depending on what you go for, to be honest I would avoid a supercharger pulley and go for a crank pulley, changing the supercharger pulley seems to have a fair few issues recently, the weistec crank pulley will make 540-60 with tune but it's closer to 700 for a crank pulley and tune
Really? I have had 2 dealers said they would, infact one is doing it in 2 weeks on mine :-P mine is on the original one which has a vosa warning on it which is advised that it's exchanged under goodwill on the system...
Pretty much, just replaced my airmatic pump for under 300, rear shocks a pair with lifetime warrantee is 400 and front are about 600, sbc which is the brake cylinder is about 1200 but most will be replaced for free or for a big reduction in price through mercedes....
Other than that mods can...
Engine and gearbox wise yes, very.... They will run 600bhp daily and not have any issues.
they can have suspension issues and the electronic brake servo can also be an issue.... But once replaced then no issues....
Once derestricted these are 200mph cars lol
It's a pain swapping the wheel as mine is an 804 build not an 805.... So the newer wheel won't fit I have been told? However I can get hold of a leather air bag for my wheel then have my wheel re padded and re trimmed :) plus for the cost I would rather get cls dials in black with the lap timer...
Few pics after I just washed all the shitty red dust off of it!
its been lowered also also the other day :) not much just 20ish mm as it's air suspension just connect it to a mercedes star computer and lower on that :)
