i was just out driving normal, cruising bout 40mph with slight acceleration. when i come to put my foot down a bit the throttle didnt respond and it seemed like the engine was losing power then all ov a sudden it started to power up again. on the way home it has done it a couple of times now...
ive just serviced it. when i had it i did put a new cat on it. had to heat up lambda sensors to get them out old cat. wheres best place to get them from. would i need to change both of them?
just been flicking through th forums and sum1 said that there mpg has gone DOWN to about 28/29. ive not had my 172 for long but its never gone above 25mpg. what could be done to emprove this.
i was having a look to what could be causing this slight splutter. ive changed plugs and cleaned all inlet, so i thought id check for vacuum hoses. when i took hose of the nipple in the pic i traced it down to the washer jets in the front bumper. what hose should be on there and where should it...
ive found some timing tools on the net but they only got the tdc pin and the tool to lock the cams from the gearbox end. would these be ok not being genuine renault. Then just get the gear end locking tool from renault.
Ive done loads of searching on here bout doing the cambelt on the 172. why can t it be done without the timing tool.i use a universal twin cam locking tool which locks the sprockets. Ive done plenty of twin cam belts and cant see how it can be different from others. is it a must to release both...
if you on bout airbag wires they have been cut out of blocks and joined back together. under driver seat there is 2 not joined but ive put these togetther with no joy, but wouldnt i have the airbag light on aswell
well it depending on how much postage it would be cuz u a bit far to travel. i missed out on a couple of auctions on ebay for bout £30. how much would you let it go for??
ive done a few search on here about the service light and can only find problems with the light on the same time as another e.g airbag light.
On my 172 ive only got the service light on its own. I know its not saying it needs a service. Any ideas how to turn it off
