yeah my car was a courtesy car for a couple of months so the registration is later than it should be. pain in the ass because insurance companies cant get their heads round it and always wahnt to charge me for a 16v engine!
in snow and ice the abs is crap because it senses that your locking up and relases the brakes. then when it lets you brake again it locks up so it keeps letting off the brakes an you roll unstoppably forwards. can be quite scary!
i like your para-phrasing....

i didnt like the arse on the new megane, but having seen them close up and having a test drive in one (admittedly a 1.6) id deffo have a 225. the only thing for me is the price, perhaps in a few years when theyve depreciated a bit.
you could get a fiat coupe 20v turbo for 1/3 of the price, it...

when the air con system cools the air, the moisture in it condenses. (this is why sometimes water drips out of the air con if youve had it on a lot in the summer).
basically this makes the air you blow onto the screen dry so it clears the moisture quicker than the moist air that hasnt been...
They want to properly push their weekend toy to the limits. thats just not possible on the road, so why not get a proper track prepared car and get the ultimate driving experience? (without mowing down small childeren, old ladies, big trees, goats etc)

but you could fit four people in it comfortably and fill the boot with all your kids stuff. the build quality will be streets ahead of the cup. depends what you want from the car.
obviously bang for buck the cup is better value.
i cant afford either
drive a slower car, build up no claims then drive a faster car when you can afford it.... like i have done and like most others.
you might not realise it but (ignorance is no excuse) the FACT is that if youre a named driver and not the policy holder, then you shouldnt drive the car most...

[Edited by entjm on 13 October 2004 at 12:59am]
tuning on the VAG 1.8t engine is awesome... on the 180bhp engines a £500 remap will get you 230bhp.... you wouldnt get that on a valver..
i think you can go to about 350bhp with no internal mods.
(im assuming its the same engine as the TT, A3, octavia VRS etc)
but yeah its a heavier car...
surely you only want it off if youre on a track and want to squeeze the maximum oiut of the car without the computer spoiling your sideways fun. or perhaps if your trying for a good launch at the lights.

im well tempted to get a PDA with tomtom and later upgrade to the speed camera software too but its pretty expensive.
does everyone who has one use it regularly or have they just been collecting dust in a draw!?
