Tarox are a mile better then Greenstuff, which IMO are not even as good as standard Renault pads.
They are not low dust though. Any brake pad that actually works will never be low dust and in my experience, the better a brake pad the more dust it generates.
172 calipers are massively bigger than the Williams/16v ones and take much larger pads. If you intend to do trackdays and your hard on your brakes, I dont care what combination of pad/fluid/disc you use on the standard Willy/16v caliper, they still wont perform as well as a 4pot set-up.

did you guys drive fast on the day then?;)cant download from there, nothing happens.
Only the Westfield XTR jobby was quicker and that was in the wet when I was still on slicks. Bloody Caterhams were a pain when trying to pass them.
I...
Caterhams kept getting in the way and wouldnt move over. Not quite as bad as the M3 though. Lapping so much quicker than him, but as soon as he touched the throttle down the straights the Clio was left for dead.
Bloody good day though, especially when it got wet at the end.
Whats been done to the 1.8 to give it a capacity of 2.0 litres?
Just an overbore is surely not going to give the extra capacity or has the crank etc been changed for the Williams one as well?
Ben can probably say whats needed to get the 1.8 up to 2.0.
Only talking from my experience, but we have drained out brand new 0w/40 fully synth from an Impreza engine more than once. Sound like a bag of nails with it in.
If were doing a service and know the driver likes to boot it the only oil we put in nowadays is Millers CFS 10w/60 for Evos and...
That all sounds well and good, but nearly all engine failures we see happen when the oil temps are high. Hence when dealing with engines like the Impreza and Evo turbo engines not one of the specialists in the UK will dare to put in a 0w oil. Even though on paper it should be ok.
My old Clio...
6. Hi Edde. Do post on here occasionally. I can be contacted either via e-mail : info@ritchspeed-imports.com or on my office phone 01970 871092 at most times of the day.
As for insurance with a roll cage. Try Graham Sykes on 0845 1300 231 who are quite willing to insure road cars with cages...
As a part-ex , I would expect you will be offered somewhere in the region of £4-4.5k. Depends really on the dealers mark-up on the car hes selling you.

Ben , I assume these are the cams we have been chatting about?
we were talking about a step wilder since...
Telford Mike is right in wanting more grip at the front . Oversteer is far easier to control than understeer as you simply dont have many options when a car is understeering , if its oversteering their is plenty you can do . A fwd car needs a bit of slip at the rear for it to tuen in properly .
Its probably a combination of wear and tear , grippy tyres and a bumpy road . Spoke to Ben and its quite a common fault especially when rallying .
It is also possible I may have damaged it at Oulton when I jumped over the kerbs on the chicane .
Depends on when the cars fixed really . Hope to be out again towards the end of August , but depends on funds and how much time Ben has to get the car sorted properly .
Turned up , took car off trailer , diff self-destructed 40 secs into 1st stage . Put car back on trailer , went home .
THE END
On the bright side however , cars will be going over to BenRs in the next few weeks for some upgrades .
The lack of knowledge on this forum is phenominal . Its impossible to have a reasonable debate with people who dont know anything about vehicle dynamics .
Also as much as I love the Williams , a 205 GTI still has better handling and steering feel than just about any FWD car ever made barring...
Clio v6 . I take it your basing your opinions on personal experiences ? Have you infact driven a 182 and a Williams on the limit ? I havent yet driven the 182 but have driven a 172 and a Cup and although they both grip better than the Willy the chassis does not handle as good as the earlier car...
Will add my twopence worth . The new Clios are undoubtedly faster , grippier and brake harder than a Willy . What they do NOT have is the same playable chassis and the extra fun factor and adjustability that you find in the older cars .
The comparison is very similar when you compare an older...
