100s are good, but then I haven't tried the 80.
Gearbox is sound so far on mine. Touch wood. It's done 100 000 miles. 20 000 were me.
But what chips saying is true
'Use energy' = burn fuel that's pedantic mate.
When you burn fuel it makes heat, sound, mechanical movement.
You said the same as me it just didn't need more explaining.
I've tested this coasting rule a lot but I'm pretty certain my dci100 is more efficient accelerating on the downhill and then using as little throttle on the up hill. This is because its uses less energy to gain momentum going down the hill.
But I find on a long hill coasting in gear is more...
That's pretty standard, most likely just because when you shift you've dropped the exhaust gasses down cause you've taken your throttle off. So when you put your foot back down it takes a second to spool up properly :)
Get a decat and it will help majorly x
You can also remove the cat to help the turbo spool up quicker.
Yes I think the 100 does have a larger turbo. I don't really think its all that laggy to be honest. Perhaps a little but not excessive the power is good once spooled up though :)
Banded steels are expensive and you'll have a hard time fitting them in. Vmaxx are decent and fairly cheap or go really cheap and get a 200 quid set of t a technics
Personally coil overs and either a good refurb in a nice colour or new wheels.
Sport grill would be nice like you said, then if your colour coding the side strips and bumpers your on to a winner.
Check my progress thread out for my dci it's a similar colour with white turbines :)
