Forgot to say its an 05 model 182

Same thing happend with mine around the same mileage. It will be your oil, surprising how much you use in these things! :o The lesson I learnt was to keep a closer eye on it than i have done with other cars.

I had it done on mine when I bought it in March from Renault manchester. Wasnt cheap, but in my opinion well worth it. Never had to wax my car once, just a good clean every weekend, and it still looks like it just came out of the showroom :D If youve got time to spend waxing it for hours...

I know not everyone is keen on K & N filters, but i might be able to get this one cheap..... Checked the K&N website, but its got conflicting info. The vehicle applications says it fits on a 2004 182, but the installation sheet refers to a 172?? Also it doesnt appear to have a heat shield...

I admit, had just cleaned it then took the pics :) Honestly, its not too bad really. You can see the muck close up, but it never seems dirty at a glance. The missus is always moaning at me for cleaning it tho! The fronts the worst, like a bleedin fly magnet!

OK. But the connections are not the same from 2001 onwards. They change again in 2003 if i remember from the Autoleads info I was looking at. I cant remember if you said what year yours was? My original post was ref an 05 plate. Mine has 2 isos and 1 mini yellow iso, and the item I have is...

Tom, you keep insisting they are the same. If they are the same, why dont they fit? I have the connects DRSN003 still, but it definately does not fit, and I removed a cabasse head unit from the car

Do you mean the same as the cabasse? Everything fitted fine, apart from the red plug that was to connect to the yellow iso connector... it fitted in the socket ok, with a bit of extra room at the one end, but the yellow iso has 5 wired pins, the red connects one only had 4 wired pins

Yes you did. But the lead did not fit! So I am asking for some more advice. Maybe if you are so sure it is the same, you might know why it didnt work?

I dont suppose you know what leads will work with an 05 plate clio, fitted with a cabasse head unit. I want to connect my Sony unit to the stalks, but have tried tons of leads and none of them work. I have been trying to connect them to the yellow ISO? Maybe this is where I have been going...

Just to let you all know, the DRNS003 does not work with a Cabasse head unit in an 05 clio

I have just filled in the form on connects web site asking them if they have an item that will do the job. There must be someone out there who has got one or something similar that works?:confused:

Out of interest, is there any difference between an 04 182 and an 05 model? Some of the lead manufacturers ive tried, tell me that an 04 lead will not fit an 05 model 182! Confused! Andy

Thanks for all the info and help. Its the Cabasse unit. Ive tried Autoleads, they dont make one that works. SOunds like connects 2 is the one, will check them out later. Andy
