Yes 17s will go on, and YES I have seen one lowered 55mm with them. However it was bye bye to arch liners. Also he had to cut his front bumper to a new shape so it didnt foul the wheels.
And it looked like a skateboard IMHO. A valver on 17s can be slammed due to the fact of it sitting lower...
They will fly on and your car will go as low as you want with 195/40/16 tyres. BUT these are expensive little babies!
With 195/45/16s I think you will have little or no problems, even if you really slam it. I know a few clios (non 16v) on 16s and they have had no trouble..
I have a sneaking feeling that the 1.8 RT clio 8v engine is the same as out of a Laguna.
My mate has one in his clio at the minute, and I know he is looking to change it. Give him an e-mail, and he might sell you his for a good price as it needs a bit of repairing done on it.
e-mail him at...
Ive seen a turbod one at York dragway, it bloody shifted!
I look forward to stuffing a 172 when I get the Nova lol! I hate getting toasted by them at the minute....
Well to turbo the clio Id either need a GT Turbo conversion. Then Id need to spend well into the thousands modding that engine to make it as fast and as reliable as the nova
OR
A valver lump transplant then turbod. Again costing well in excess of the cost of the Nova. I love my Clio, thats...
Its seam welded.
The car (and bodywork enspecially) are in tip top condition. Its been only driven out of term time at university.
The way I see it, to get that power out of my car Id be spending a lot more than 3500. Id run both cars together as you cant beat the economy of the clio I...
Already got the cams. Yeah its a 1.6 8v. It my mates car, he wanted £4000 for it (the turbo conversion cost 3000, then 800ish for cams) I offered him £3500 and he said I can have it. Just got to get the money together now.
Is that a good price, its on a J-Plate? Including buying the car and...
The cars got a Garrett turbo on it at the minute, but I know its not running stupid amounts of boost due to the fact the convesion is still under warrenty. Might have to investigate methods of reliably getting more boost from it when I buy it...
Ideally would like ot see 200bhp from it...
Might sound like a bit of a daft question.....
What exactally throttle bodies are, how they work and how much power increase you can expect? Can they be fitted to any car?
And I know this is slightly off topic for a Clio board, but could they be fitted to a 1.6 Nova GSi Turbo? The car is...
Does keep your car a bit cooler. Its easier to do yourself if you can take your windows out. Actually doing it with the windows in is a very difficult task!
My mate doesnt really go on the internet much. There is a year old feature on his car here: http://www.cruiseboard.co.uk/readerscars/ksuckley/1.html
Since then hes had a new front bumper and sideskirts on. Next on his list is a leather retrim...
Id defenantally spend your money on the...
Agreed, pads have a LOT less dust. The discs are dubious. Under heavy breaking from high speeds (80mph +) you get a lot of shaking and wobbling, not very confidence inspiring.
I think it probably wont. Hes tried putting Seat splitter on the back of his Willy, but it wont fit like mine, leading me to believe its wider.
So to get round the fact he cant get the splitter on he is thinking of working on a bumper like mine. Im sure its wider on a Willy, someone must know...
Ive a K&N, performance zorst, and the CAT took off. Not sure if its faster, but its bloody louder Too loud infact! Think the CATs gonna have to go back on.
Basically your never going to make the 1.2 into a world beater. Save up for another engine is my advice..
