Judging how they have designed the mk1 ones, i wouldnt bother. when the top mounts dont spin on the bearings they must of gotten something wrong. The dampening on mine is terrible now. So it dont look like they last long either.

the power steering pump is very noisy! big job? expensive to replace? Can be its a common trait for them to be noisey, can try bleeding them and see if that quietens it up. There are also treatments which can make it quieter, if not can get a new pump, but i think there quite a pain to change...

Gsf seem the cheapest for them. The early ones where suposed to have yellow ones though ;)

Do the rear first, as if you find its seized and cant lower it, then at least you wont be driving around with a lowered front and a sky high rear.

We know whos cars are going to be all rusty in a few years time then ;) Dont take long for a bucket, and a dull looking car doesnt give much reward. Its like buying a house and not decorating it, it does its job, its not going to fall down without a fresh coat of paint, but you do it.

Ah if you have spacers, i personally wouldnt risk it. there is allready more strain on the bolts having the spacers.

Should be allright driving with 3 in the rear, but its not really advisable, although i drove from northwales to portsmouth with 3 in the rears.

Yeah i have had a simular thing, good idea in theory when it works, but this time round it hasnt quite worked out. Dont think i will be with them next year if i get offered a silly setup like that, to much hassle for a online based tarrif.

Yeah its the early valvers which have oil coolers, mine had one. Running cool, just make sure its been well serviced, the rad is in healty condition and not blocked, new coolant make sure the thermostat is working well etc, and it should run pretty cool.

The J i think is for the width of the wheel, so they would be the same width as williams wheels if that was the case. They should be fine.

You say that you have just gotten the 16v, has it been serviced recently? the usual service items can make it quite abit quicker if it hasnt been done before. Might be worth doing that first. If not i would say the williams lump as its the simplist of the conversions on offer, and you can feel...

For some big brake kits you get a spacer which brings the calpier out further from the standard mounting, Kits which use this are the K-tec big brake conversion, which means you go from a 259 to a 285 disc. Depending on what car you have will depend on what size disc you currently have.

Well it stops the brake lines getting the heat from the exhaust manifold...

Yeah picked up some Williams wheels for some really cheap price. Which im going to refurb up. In two minds whether to go gold or white.
