Can anyone give me a model number of the (Cobra?) alarm in the 172 MkII and confirm if the LED placement is the same as the 182? Also, where is the siren put (exactly)? Is this alarm available anywhere other than Renault themselves?

The stencil kit was about £30 and comes with enough to do all the windows. the price includes registration with the ISR too

And............ Where is the correct place for the alarm LED?

Liam, i put the ISR window etchings on the other day! i think you guessed what i was trying to do!

They are little surface mount LEDs behind the dials, i remember seeing a post on here a while ago where someone had changed theirs to blue, looked really good. cant remember who it was though.

can i get the cobra to work off the renault key fob then? i was quoted over £300 at my local ICE dealer to get a Sigma alarm that worked off the key fob!

Is It possible to get renault to put their factory fit alarm into my import 172? If so how much?

I had four years, didnt protect it then crashed 3 weeks later!!!! Learn from my mistake... PROTECT IT! Also, When u have a crash they only nock off 2 years no claims at a time. not the full lot.

anyone ever had it when they brake hard so the nose dips, then as you come to a stop and the nose lifts back up it creaks??

my 172 creaks fron the front drivers suspensin when parking and manouvering (spell??), its been to the garage three times and they adjust "something", it goes away for a week or so then comes back! Reaaly annoying me!
