control panel > add or remove programs > find IE7 on that list > click remove if you've got xp it'll just put you back on IE6 which was a million times better imo

p.s IE is a fcuking pain. use Firefox instead, the way forward

uninstall it from the programs list, drastic but it'll work I think

it's only a small application, uninstall it, then re-install a fresh windows live messenger, usually fixes anything like that for me if it c***s up
