I had some work done to my driver seat under warranty but I dont think they did anything mutch other than tuck the material back in. Leather does wear my driver seat is scratched off buttons and studs etc on my jeans/trousers.

Wouldnt say they fall to bits, well my new re-developed system hasn't yet, the fit on them was very poor.
