FK's can be had for around £400 and go as low as to rip your front splitter off and scrape your sump! they are adjustable front and rear. just to note FK's are hard so if your taking your granny on an outing make sure she bags her teeth up
I would suggest if your going to all that trouble then fit a williams engine, you'll need the gearbox, drive shafts, hubs, loom, rad, i would also swap to the williams wide track and subframe
ive used it, it lasts about 7k in mine before its starts to loose its colour. i dont bother with silkoline etc its just too expensive for oil its good as it lasts the full 12k before it looses its colour. even if i used silkoline i would change it every 6-8k anyways.
from a person who has them , if you like squeeking then yeah go for it, i lube mine up every few weeks
oh and the 172 ones that k-tec etc sell dont fit the 172 the anti roll bar is fatter
i dont think it would be any benefit as the sports subframe is already very stiff , it doesnt replace a strut top brace as this is designed to stop the top struts from twisting.
i could see it catching on speed bumps and small animals in the UK
1, yes (£50) i have a blaupunkt
2, it will slot straight in
3, the unit display will no longer work with a blaupunkt head unit
btw the iso adapter at the back will plug straight into the blaupunkt head unit no adapters needed on the stalk adapter
get it from these guys proper good service...
because me and batman are special. when we changed the engine size on the v5 the c02 emmisions stayed the same so the same tax, mine is registered as a clio extreme 16v engine size 1998cc the goverment get the emmisions from renault and as there isnt a 1998cc extreme 16v then they cant compare...
I built a silverstone intel based (duel core0 mpc with Win MCE which was good now using mythTV on fedora core, rightly it took me ages to get running (about 2 hours) but its well worth it! is still duel boot as i like to play the odd pc game on the system.
you'll need a set of new shoes for a start, 30mm socket, take the cap off with a flatblade screw driver then undo the large nut with the 30mm. then you need to smack the drum with a hammer it should free up. if it wont come off your better off taking it to a garage.
my mates garage have them in all the time, had loads of mgf's and freelanders the cost is due to normally the block needs to be skimmed or in some cases replaced, new waterpump etc shite
