theres a time and a place for having a "bit of a do" and a bit of a thrash with another car, its deffo not in a built up area doing 70. Save it for the B roads boys!
I think elephant will do a second policy using the NCB twice so if your wife goes to elephant for the current car and then isures the 182 in her nemae with you as named driver that might be the way to do it. We had a spam email from them a while ago about this, I wasnt aware that any other...
mini drivers are either gay or schoolteachers I have never had a race with a cooperS you can never get one, people buy them to pose in and try to regain their lost youth. CooperS are a fasion accessory not a serious car.
I would rather have a 172, based on a normal wrx you get the same performance for a lot less running costs, people dont think your a nob and you wont get carjacked or have to hide your keys so people dont break in your house! Insurance is cheaper the list goes on. Obviously the scoob is more...
new shape on the horizon will push prices down even more is one thing. Other thing could be that theres have been so many sold! Lets face it 172s and 182s are everywhere so proportionally there are prolly no more for sale than most other cars
renault might not know much about how to make interiors not rattle but really thats where the problems end with the 172. Mechanically mines has 23k of pretty enthusiastic use not a hint of a clutch going or any probs with the engine etc. In fact Renault are probably the only brand I have any...
Not a new one, a 2nd hand vee is a bargain. Either way its more of a car than your standard scooby/evo no brainer performance cars. As I usually say in these topics if you have that sort of money to spend on a car if you dont buy a vx220 you probably need locking up. But that said the Vee is...
very nice motor and very pretty. I used to have a 1.4 SX and that was well specced, although economy was madness at 20 mpg! apparently a "feature" of the cars. HGT is fine though IMO a superb motor
if you want it got ofr it, but there are a whole world of possible problems your gonna get with an Mreg cossie that you wont get with the 182. Things will break and you really have to watch where you leave it, be careful about carjacking etc. as R jay says 12k is cheap for a cossie. A minter is...
whatever they offer you m8, walk away. They will only offer you their best price when youve refused everything they offer you whilst your there. I got an extra 500 quid for my 172 by doing that with the local stealer
yeah I would have liked a sunroof on the 172, fair enough its got aircon but its nice to have a sunroof in the summer!
Got to say a 2-3 year old 172 is probably the vest value for money car you can possibly buy, not just saying that cos Im selling one, but it was a cracking car for 12k new...
Ive waved at a few but not had much response. I think most people who buy them arent quite as "into" the whole thing as us lot. Mostly just get strange looks (no change there then)
When the mk2 clio v6 first appeared there was a lad in wakey had one like within a week. I saw him and chased...
that would be awsome if it was a lil turbo, it looks like a mini megane, zorst pips look better than the wheelbarrow type 182 ones, not sure about the wheels but as someone said they are prolly not the finished items
m8 Ive got mine for sale in on the forum, black 23k minter for 8,500 loads of people on here have seen the car at some point its very "straight" I guess you could say get in touch if your intrested but be quick as its been part xd next week
dont buy new thats a mugs game m8! I should know cos I bought a new 172! Ill never buy brand new again. A car with like 7 or 10k on the clock is litrally as good as new. Let someone else take the 4-5 grand hit on the depreciation.
Well Ill let you know tomorrow cos Im test driving one. Obviously the 225 is never going to equal a 172 in terms of handling being a bigger car. But dont forget it a renautsport and will have been designed with the same purpose in mind as the 172/182/V6 and should be much more focused than the...
here here, who do you all think you are slating this guy FFS not a very good way for a CLUB to be carrying on. At least some constructive criticism would have been helpful. Sometimes we can be far too harsh on here, to a reletively new member too. Would you all say this face to face to the guy...
Thats the thing with the internet, its very easy for someone to sit and type something about beating a car, maybe they arent that clued up and might think theyve beat a car when if they had known about it they would realise that the other driver probably was just on a run to the shops or...
if I saw someone parked in 2 spots I would park right next to them to piss them off lol I usually park somewhere out of the way if its dead busy but taking up 2 spaces is asking for trouble
dont expect an amazing difference in performance, obviously the vee is a lot more of a headturner than the ctr (or anything else lol) be prepared for a shock how much more poorly renaults are built than hondas!!
I think most of the changes made have been cosmetic, 182 gained 10 bhp but also more weight. 182 caught someones eye in EVO wheras the 172mk 1 and 2 didnt so the 182 seems to have been a bigger success. Personally although I bought my 172 new if I was buying today I would either get a yellow mk1...
a v6 aint exactly pretty though is it? they are pretty grusome looking things but the fact theres a 3.0 engine in the back makes you forgive that. Dont particularly see anything wrong doing a PROPER conversion with the arches and spacing the wheels out but just shoving a bumper on is not good enough
