I think my old car was something like 170lb.ft peak with itbs. That's not huge at all considering many are touching that if not more on the std inlet mani/plenum.
I'd be careful about turboing a car that isn't meant to run a turbo. Some have said to uprate the internals etc but your going to be spending mega money on piece of mind with parts like uprated engine internals, gearboxes, clutches etc etc.
It's best to go, as people have said, with an engine...
You don't get huge torque gains with bodies.
Jon - I didn't get the stutter problem when owning it, that does sound like mapping. I was really impressed with omex as was expecting the judder but was pretty smooth. The only thing I had to get used to was how sensitive the accelerator was and...
I have used powerflow before. Not saying your exhaust is the same but mine was bloody awful. Boomy as hell, the welds were absolute crap on it. They seemed to rush the job, didn't get the tailpipe sitting correctly. Overall a crap experience from my point of view.
If you want quality, care and...
These fancy flywheels are all very nice to look at when you buy them but thats the last time you see it. I wouldn't by a flywheel because of its looks because it's hidden. I think I would rather get the std one lightened. Will it improve how the engine revs a lot?
Do you have a lightened...
I'm swaying more towards the ACT Extreme organic clutch. I should be able to abuse that a bit more than the heavy duty one and it will have a nice drive for everyday use? Am I right in saying?
How much to get the std flywheel lightened?
I know of a guy that refurbs gearboxes so he could...
omfg now i'm wondering about a paddle clutch. Yesterday i've asked 2 of my friends to get prices on uprated paddle clutches as that was what I was originally going to go for as they can get discounts on them.
I'm really stuck now on which clutch to buy...

Malice - rps max clutches? where are they sold?
I've been looking at the ACT heavy duty paddle clutch and the organic clutch. Which would you have out of paddle and organic and what are going to be the main differences?
The car is 90% used for road but I will be tracking it in the near...
I know this is a clio forum and I admit I did like the drive in my old 172 and I did like the v6 to start with but some people act like they are going to own a clio for the rest of their lives.
Renault's are not everything.
Recently i've owned a 172 with individual throttle bodies (spent...
If I uprate the clutch, I can turn the boost upto 1.2 bar. It's running 1 bar at the moment.
Just don't know what clutch to buy yet, how much to spend, where to get it fitted...?
Malice, here is the spec so far...
