shafts out, starter motor off, subframe down, airbox off, battery out, gearbox engine mount off. lower engine down at gearbox end, slide off. Access to clutch.. as easy as that! LMAO..
As bmh said, thats a 1.6 16v though, wouldn't imagine much different though!
if your doing the porst your as well doing the cams while engine is in bits!
if you add cams to that list you'll possibly see 130bhp at a guess.
but to be honest add up the cost of what you named above.. matt_black will do you all you need for 172 conversion for 2k...

I have a SS de-cat (not fitted yet) looking at a throttle body from a 2.0 laguna (F4R 780)
and have thought about cams but they are way too expensive!!! And my car struggles to idle cold as it is.. lol

is it an easy job, just drain oil remove sump new gasket and torque back up?
where can i get a sump from? what sort of price?
What tools are needed for the silly torque bolt things?
