Quick question. Will the servo work if the engine isn't running just with the ignition on? Thinking of towing another clio but the engine doesn't run.
Thanks.

Sorry to hear you got hit, glad they are going to repair it though. Like said by others, get to the doctors QUICK and get that claim in. My Hubbys brother did the same, got over 1500 for his claim, and don't forget your Mrs bad back, that could mean another 2-3k as backs as more fragile and play...
I can't say as I have ever had any problems with a Renault gear box (have owned four Renaults now) and I don't drive like a little old lady , nor do I thrash the b****cks off it. Infact I would say that so far ~touches wood~ all the Renaults I have owned have been darn good little cars (even the...
Emotions would definitely kick in in my case. I would probably find it very hard not to go too far. I would be SO angry I would probably end up being dragged off the little s***s!
Well yes in theory you can, but in reality it all depends on how good their solicitor is and what damage you have done in trying to protect your property. There appears to be a very thin line between a deserved smacking and a beating.
Thieving little sh*ts! Unfortunately this is a sign of much worse to come in the future. It does not matter how close you are to them, if they want it, they are going to nick it! IF you try to stop them by using force, YOU will end up getting done for assault whilst the thieving little...
I never get bored with mine. She has never given me any reason to grumble either (so far that is) ~Touches wood~. I am finding I am loving her even more since I started the cosmetic mods too. I am planning to keep this one for a long long time, especially since Renault have cocked up with the...
What head unit you looking for? I got this for about £500. (included fitting costs and a mulit cd changer in the glove box)
You could obviously leave out the cd changer and get upgraded speakers instead.
lol, most definitely. I used to have two sayings in the days of me repairing cars. "If in doubt give the f**ker a clout" or " If in doubt get the pliers out". They both pretty much still work, as I proved to Hubby the other day when he broke the screws on his number plate when trying to put his...
Why do you need to get the car there for a new key? Surely all you need are the car documents to get a new key done? I gather the black bit of the key still unlocks the car, which then I gather also deactivates the immobiliser, can you not turn the key once in the ignition with a pair of pliers?
Yep, Hubby and I did the same thing. I didn't want to drive too far though as I needed the fuel for work. I actually managed to get some really early one morning which kept me going until the strike was over. Thank God I only had my 1.4 clio at the time though, as my 1.6 would have killed the...
I totally agree. Renault service history doesn't seem to be much to brag about these days. It is more likely to go wrong (in my opinion) if Renault have had their mitts on it. I would go take a look at it, and as the others have said you should be able to tell if its a shitter or not. Don't be...
I am really upset that I finally found a car I really like, (have had 2 from new) and now because Renault in their infinite wisdom have changed it soooo much, I will NEVER buy a NEW Clio again!
I don't think I will ever understand car manufacturers. They get a good design that becomes...
Fuel prices are indeed getting ridiculous! I remember when I first got my baby 3 years ago, £10 would take her to 1/2 a tank, now £20 won't even do that! I do agree that no matter how much the prices rise, we will ALL pay it as we need it! Does anyone remember when most of the garages closed...
That is soooo true, and I'm sure I mentioned that in a previous post about 'imports'. So, it doesn't really matter where they come from, as long as they are UK spec. The fact you get them via Renault normally only means you pay more, or get less warranty. This is swear is done to force people...
My Clio is an import (comes from Germany) . It was NEW when I bought her and I paid almost 2k less than dealer prices. It only came with 2 years RENAULT warranty, but I paid for another year. Which was ok. The only problem I find is with Renault themsleves when it comes to spare parts. My car...
