Renault dealers never cease to amaze me at their arrogance and rudeness towards customers. Let's face it, if it wasn't for the fact that Renaults are so popular here in the UK, they wouldn't have a bloody job! I have had many arguements with Renault, the last one was when they ordered me the...
HAsn't anyone ever heard of the left foot on the brake whilst right foot is on throttle trick? If you do this when they come flying up on your arse, they get the brake lights flashed at them but you still pull away from them. Giving them the fright of their lives! Works wonders for arseholes in...
I haven't personally got this problem (YET), but have decided to try and protect my wheel as best as I can. I went a bought a sun screen which goes right across the windscreen, this stops my steering wheel , and the inside of my car from getting boiling hot. It does still get 'warm' but not...
erm, excuse me but, if you are going to get all those (f**k knows where from) but shouldn't you be thinking of a nice new set of points to go with them too? ~Sniggers~
Here is another thing I have noticed, but not just with Clios, it's been the same with any car I have owned. It generally appears fuel seems to last longer (more mpg) when the weather is warmer. I suppose there is a technical reason for this, I'm guessing it is simply because the car runs on...
I'm not talking 1/2 a tank opposed to a full tank. I'm talking running her lower than 1/4 of a tank, she then becomes (although still pretty quick) less responsive and not exactly at her best. :rasp:
I guess in theory that could well be true, but thankfuly so far ~touches wood~ I haven't experienced this. I know the fuel filter should stop dirt getting through, but we all know this is not always the case and some can get through. It's not exactly hard to clear it but it is a pain in the butt. ;)
I have only had the petrol light come on once in 3 years. (I think the needle was in the middle of the red). I don't like to run her low (under 1/4 of a tank) as it can pick up all the crap at the bottom of the tank and block the jets. I have learnt from experience never to trust fuel gauages...
I totally agree with you there. A car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, no matter what the age or milage. If it's wanted and someone has one it good condition, people will always be willing to pay. That's my opinion anyway, sod what the dealers tell you! ;)
Have you tried ringing Direct Line being as you are both already insured with them, or is it the fact that they won't do it , so that's why you're asking? It may be worth ringing Admiral or maybe even the AA who might be able to put you in touch with a company that will do it.
I get roughly 36mpg around town and about 42-45mpg on longer runs. (Rarley goes above 4.5k revs, just don't need to). ;)
We have (Hubby and I) a 13 year old 1.2 Fidji as a runaround, and for a 1.2 she is as nippy as f**k, no comparison to my 1.6 of course, but she can certainly move her...
I have had a good look around and the only ones that I can find that look similar are the OZ Super Turismo GT's, but they don't come in black. Take a look at this site, see if you can find anything.

The only other thing I can suggest is, see if you can find a cheap...
I still don't understand how they agreed to let you do this. I only have a 1.6 and because of the value alone, fully comp was the only option, (not that I wanted tp anyway) and I am more than twice you age! I am pretty shocked that an insurance company has allowed a 20 year old tp party on a...
I agree that you really have to know what you are doing to use a dolly. I guess I suggested it as these are things I am really used to working with, even on small dents. I do agree that if you hit them abit hard it could well lead to the panel getting distorted, and this will indeed look worse...
Is this dent the size and shape of a knuckle by any chance? The reason I ask is, some fucker has knuckled my bonnet twice and I noticed the other day that there are now three knuckle dents just above the passenger door handle. Some jealous idiot has obvioulsy just given her a punch on their way...
I've got 16"'s and dropped mine 30mm on Eibachs, (didn't want the really low look) so I should imagine that 15"'s and a 60mm drop would be pretty good on yours. I understand that you don't want to spend too much money on her suspension wise, but (in my opinion) if you are going to drop her it is...
When you say it 'cut out', did the car lose power and then die, or did it die just as you pulled up? Has it got a seperate condensor or is it built into the alternator? It could well be a fault on the immobiliser, but seems unlikely. It could be a dodgy lead or plug and wont necessarily fire and...
Try Admiral. They WILL insure modded cars, only on the understanding that they will replace modded parts for STANDARD RENAULT parts though. This is the ONLY place I could find that will insure modded cars without any arguements. It seems that most other insurance companies class modded cars as...
I wasn't sure where to post this, so if it is in the wrong place I apologise.
Does anyone know where I can get some brushed steel sill plates for my Clio please?
Thanks.

Right, just looked at some pics. I think doing the centre bit black and the blades in silver would look really good on a black car. That's my opinion anyway.
You could try using something called a 'Dolly' (maybe called something else these days). They come in different sizes and are round at one end and flat on the other (so you can knock them with a mallet). You have to be gentle though, and give excellent results if you are careful.
Me neither. It's getting really exciting now. I was going to get the quote for the body kit and colour coding straight away, but decided it was a better idea to wait until the pedals are fitted and the alignment and geometry is done. That way I won't risk getting the kit damaged. I will not be...
Hiya BLitzRT, welcome to CS. :D
I don't know if you intend to get new alloys or if you wish to buy second hand, but here is a site you can browse through to give you some ideas as to what may look nice on your new baby.
Happy hunting. ;)
