My hu in mk1 wont sit right the way in because of all the wires and crap, got new speakers & wire all way round. so was thinkin of trimmin the old spreker wires and stuff i dont need, and hardwiring the power cable ect to the wiring so the meaty adaptor block aint there. what do you think...

My mk1 aint got any rear speakers so i invested in some 6by9s, only trouble is there was none there originally so no cabiling. Does anyone know how i can wire these up from my sony head unit?

I was reading the insurance stuff in another forum on this site and it was talking bout insuring a car in parents name and the cons of it. Im insured 3rd party on a car registered in my name with my dad as an additionial driver (i am the main driver) yet it still works out cheaper than just me...

Has anyone fitted pedal extensions in their mk1 clio? How easily do they fit? do u hav 2 drill into the existing pedals?

I think the 12" subs are more suited to low bass that aint to fast, 10" is better for faster bass beats, depends on ur taste in music. The 12" sub displaces more air (cos its bigger) and therfor makes lower sounds, the 10"sub having a smaller surface area cant preform like the other but can...

I jus had another idea, if i get a bit of aluminium i could turn it on a lathe into a sort of shape that could be used as a button? what do you think of that idea? I already have access to a lathe and could swipe a bit of aluminum bar that would be perfect size wise

It was a RaceX one with a gaitor. I bought it off ebay, never occurred to me lol! Could i jus cut a bit off my button so i will fit in the end of the new handle? MJ

I went and bought a new handbrake handle for my mk1 95 clio, only prob is its round and the original 1 is square. It never came with a button tho, does anyone know where i would be able to get a round button from? Thanks
