to be fair he is normally grinning ear to ear because he is going sideways in a gt3 RS or somthing equally fruity and would not expect him to be getting excited about a 180bhp hot hatch. check out the evo hot hatch review it seems honest and balanced.
i think the depreciation on these could be even more horrific than normal given there look warm reviews from the press, and could well be a great buy in 12months time id be all over one for 13 or 14k.
laps times are interesting, clio 200T 1.33.6 - fiesta st 1.32.9 yet when they put the old 200 round the west circuit it did it in 1.31.9, progress my arse :butt:
hope so because in 2 or 3 years time ill be looking at swapping my 200 but certainly wont in its current guise, have to say id be v surprised to see it with 6 gears tho. :dapprove:
cheers pal i might give em a whirl. wear, noise, and wet grip arnt a major concern i just want the tyre to be feel nice and be grippy when on track or whlist on a spirited drive (normally dry). the one bad thing with the contis is they tend to melt a bit on track.
anyone had any experience with these? i was defo going to go with ad 08's but these have been getting some really good results in the 2013 tests and will be about £100 a set cheaper as i can get these for under £400 fitted in 215 45 17 which is tempting, car does 16k a yr on mainly motorways...
ive put two tanks of this in my 200 now and i got 55 litres in today so im guessing my car has a 60 litre tank, used it at cadwell earlier in the wk and car ran mint but that could be the fact that the name has nitro in it :approve:
me to actuallly regarding the meggy as it was an r26, im putting it down to the v power nitrous 99 ron.... or maybe because i was rolling a carbon lid, lol.

few laps round the superb cadwell park in standard 200 with road tyres (12k!) best lap time was 1.56. :race: oops vid not workin.
not at all i did cadwell on mon on conti sport contact 5's and loved it i put ferodo ds2500 pads in the front tho and and they made a huge improvement, with the added benefit of being better day to day to.
i have the same reservations as you and on 1st impressions the st gets my vote, im hoping that renault get there fingers out there arse and give people the more focused version of the car that they are crying out for.
this months evo states thats the clio 200 is one of the top ten manual cars fyi, and im not being a funny but how the f**k could you drive down the road in an mx 5 with out lookin full on homo, have a word with yourself.
@craig b it would be good to meet up, ive got an hr booked with an instructer as its my 1st track day and thought it would be benifical. hopefully see you there.
