Oooft. Its a while since a car really made me sit up and think that's the sex. Something about that does it for me. Moist, possibly even foaming at the gash if i was female.
Sabine Schimtz (sp) not the Porsche driver? Seem to think she is for some reason. Race was for position I think as well, with that viper finishing behind 7 (or ws it9?) of those Porsches.
Very good driving either way.
Prolines do lower it. I had them on mine, and they lowered it about 30mm. Looked good with my 16s, as it looked stockish.
Not mine, which was cyclone blue, but lowered on prolines, and with the same wheels me, and its a 1.6.
The handling was bloody brilliant with them fitted, as they are...
Nice mate. Just read throgh your whole project thread.
Unlucky with your attempt to find why the car felt weird initially! But top marks for sticking with it and doing a pretty good project.
Also, any vids of the exhaust sound out of curiosity?
Eibach prolines. They lowered it slightly, and I could tell the difference. Was more planted round bends definitely.
As someone said, the 1.4 and 1.6 16v, and DCi models did have a 'Sports Suspension' pack. This included uprated dampers and springs, as well as thicker ARBS iirc.
Liking the wheels, and the car.
Not a big fan of boot filling installs though, but if thats your thang ;)
Tints look good but I would have perhaps gone lighter, but then I know you are hiding your install.
Does look like it needs lowering again now that you have gone to 16s though. But its...
Awesome period of rallying. The cars and the drivers epic. Fans just as mental as well to be honest, to stand so close and wait so long to jump out of the way.
The video is really well put together as well, edited with the music superbly imo.
Plans for the 6 are for a full stripping with cage, some cams and itbs possibly, suspension sorted along the lines of Bilstein fronts with eibachs, and some new standard shocks for rear and lowered on torsion bar, some lightweight wheels. Basically make it as light as i reasonably can whilst...
What tyres you gone for then. Like the citroen/peugeot project threads, as because they tend to be older cars in a lot of cases, they are made of tinfoil and weigh a lot less, so power isnt as much of an issue to have a fun car.
I have plans for my 306, but as its a daily driver at the moment...
Its not all about the speed. The GTI6 is a very well regarded hot hatch, and is a great drive, and has given a few people a surprise when they think they can just put their foot down and leave me, especially on twisty b-roads.
Back on topic, the 1.6 is a very good drive too, and with some...
