I was due to take my car over to Nick @ hillpower for a rolling road test but unfortunatly he isn't too well at the moment. Does anyone have any other recommendations as I'd really like to get my car tested, preferably by someone who can diagnose any problems. Cheers!

Get the tyre place to pay for it. If they value their reputation they should sort it out for you.

Cheers mate. It's defo not pinking, after having the centre section replaced it's much quicker but still really flat before about 4K. Feels like it takes ages to pick up speed. Think they've just done a shite job on the exhaust as the Kwik fit guys weren't very impressed and said to take it back...

Lol not exactly the solution I'm after, and anyway I also drive a 1.3 ford Ka so I do appreciate that the clio has more poke, just not as much as it should have!!

I'm pretty sure the problems lie with the exhaust now. Renault were just fobbing me off with the stuff about Petrol and Pinking. Just want to know if there is a problem with the exhaust. I know if I take it and describe the problem above, they will just say "oh that's how it's supposed to be"...

Anyone got any idea if this is right of if this joint could still be effecting the performance of my car? It seems that where I expect acceleration, i'm getting exhaust noise. Cheers.

Took my car to Fred a couple of weeks ago, what a nice bloke, had a really good look at the car for me and found there was a problem with the centre section of the exhaust. Had Renualt change the centre section now (had to get one of the salesman there to drive it and he said it was like a...

No the silver ones, don't know what you call 'em. They've got a kind of metallic finish, thought it might be hard to get a match.

Sounds like mine. Taking it to get it looked at cos its quite a noticable power loss. No idea whats causing it tho. Exhaust sounds noisier than I remember so maybe the problems there.

Do all the exhausts "cough" on 182/172s? I've got problems with mine anyway but I thought they just did that?

heard they're really over stretched as they've got thousands more customers than they can cope with. Similar thing happened with bulldog. Renault say they've ran the diagnostic software and it shows no problems. Around about the time this started the stop light and abs light on the dash came on, but the lights were off next time I used the car. Whats brake binding mean?

Might try takin it to the dealer I bought it from as they are a bit more helpful than my local dealer. Has anyone had a similar situation and managed to get it sorted?
