where did you hear this?
the last set of tyres I've had have been r1-r's and I rate them highly. I've done a mix of road driving, and some track days both wet and dry and they perform well.
Even in really wet rainy track conditions I wasn't afraid to push them round Snetterton, both cornering...
Not really something someone can answer lol how does one measure it?
I have one and it does make a difference to how the car feels when cornering, it makes it turn in better and change direction quicker in my experience. A lot more go kart like
It doesn't take long mate, and trust me you will thank yourself at how much easier it is with the lights out lol!
taking the bumper off takes the longest, although mine doesn't have ALL the fixings so only took 10mins max. once the lights are out (3 x 10mm bolts ), its a doddle :) a minute or...
I went with the stock 4200k, (4300k?) one of those....I prefer the whiter look over bluey ones :)
no pics at the moment, but look the same as stock anyway ;)
Track rods really aren't hard to do, I did them with one of those viscous fan spanners no problem. So may be worth doing them first. There shouldn't be any play at all really
Really? not 1 reply??!
Well after removing the bulb on one side to check it with the other one.....CAN I GET IT BACK IN??! This is with the lights still in situ, big mistake I think! Bumper off and lights out I guess?
I noticed my drivers side xenon comes on but then dims to a dull pinky colour yesterday, it also flickered a couple of times.
is this likely to just be the bulb? or the ballast or something else?
How have I missed this?? FLOL!! Just read through the whole lot, loving some of the replies, had me in stitches!!
How EVER is this guy still going?? He must of spent £600 in text messages lol
If I come it will be a late announcment nearer the time ;)
I may be going contracting in the near future so will have more monies available (hopefully) so I'm not out of it yet :)
I've still not got round to doing mine :o
It just doesnt LOOK like they move when I put the steering lock and pull the wheel about but I guess there's alot more force involved when driving. It certainly seems to be getting worse though whatever it is :(
Martin, dont suppose you got any pics of...
The 172 wishbones have a completely different anti-roll bar fixing to the ones above. They have a rectangular slot rather than the round hole in ;)

Im not sure if I'll be coming now, due to splitting with the other half and having to pay for everything now :dapprove: It doesnt leave alot of spare cash and I'm also meant to be going on holiday in June too!! D'oh!
Unless an influx of O/T happens at work anyway ;)
Can't comment on the ad08s but I've been using the R1Rs for the last year, including a couple of track days in wet conditions and they performed very well considering how wet it was.
Re: Nurburgring 2013 - CS EoE Annual Trip - 23/24 May - 28th May 2013
I'd prefer Thurs - Mon too tbh ;) But as everyone sorts their own travel anyway its not the be-all and end-all. But having something to watch Saturday sounds good for sure :)
Whilst on the subject or radiators, at the top corner (drivers side, opposite the bottom hose corner) theres a threaded hole in the black plastic part.....should there not be something in there? Ive googled it and all the pics it shows of the rad, have nothing in there?

Thats plenty of open time for me, I wont be doing a million laps! :) Only did 5 last time, and that was epic!
Ive got a Cup alternator setup on mine now so aircon isnt there. Could it be related somehow to the electrical side of the air con (the switches inside) which is obviously still there?
