sounds like the top mounts, if you search for freds 'top mount washer fix'. renault have also made a new part to solve this, but the washer fix is easier!
Jonny - where about in rutland are you from? I'm pretty sure I have seen your car about on the road from uppingham to manton?
I may also come along to this meet as i only live in oakham so will take me 2 mins to get there!
Do you mean RS tuner? if so, what do you mean fitted? you do not "fit" it, you upload new maps to your ECU via a laptop and then unplug it. If it has been used on a different car prior to yours and hasnt been unlocked since, then you will need to get it unlocked by henk, costs about 55 euros...
I bought mine about 4 weeks ago and only got round to having a play today.
before loading the new map i had a lumpy idle, a wierd drop off of revs when changing gear from cold (jolted like a sh*t gear change), and a bit of a flat spot at around 3k-4.5k
after loading the new map all of these...
Yeh had the front end jacked up and checked everything spun the wheels and the brakes wernt binding and checked for play and there was none. really bugging me now
no play in the wheel... really doing my head in now, took it to a local garage who came out with me in it and had a look and they dont know either... HELP!
anyway of checking this? i thought it could be this as the brakes were binding quite badly before sorting them out and thought some damage may have been done..
yeh all copper greased and the calipers were taken off and refurbed. so im kinda eliminating the brakes causing it. I cant pin point where its coming from, but when im driving and got drivers side window open i can hear it, but when passenger side is open you can tell its not coming from that...
a month or so after buying my 182 it developed a squeeking noise which seemed to be coming from the front drivers side. My brakes were binding slightly on the front, and so i thought it was this. I had discs and pads replaced as they were completely shot, and all seemed fine for a week or 2 but...
A little update... I received a package from holland... My dad was curious when it got delivered to his haha but it's not what he probably thought!!!!
I'm looking forward to getting this up and running, will hopefully cure the slightly lumpy idle at start up and pull harder through the gears...
I didnt know either but charlesk sent me a few pictures of how to fit, which helped a lot, thanks again for that... but as he has said in previous posts the new top hats are a different design and seem to be designed for use with the new insert/spacer. So since trial fitting the new...
yeh my first attempt wasnt wrapped tight enough and so it looked a bit shoddy, but then got the hang of it and was pretty pleased...
brought, bought.. meh, you knew what i meant lol
I brought my 182 just over a month ago and thought id create a progress thread to log my 'project' so to speak...
Its a 54 reg with 41k on the clock, belts done, both cup packs, and tax and mot, completely standard, i payed £3800 for it which i thought wasnt too bad to be fair!! Its incredibly...
im guessing these fit on top of the rubber hats? will i need to jack the car up or just do it as normal?
I had a look at the nut at the top of the rubber hats and they appear to be a one piece part already... or am i looking at the wrong part?
dont know why it looks so rusty in the pic coz it...
Is really easy to do, I havnt done mirrors, but did my own diamonds and bullets. Just get a heat gun/hot hair dryer and take your time, you will be suprised how easy it is. and only costs about £2 for enough wrap off ebay to do it!!!
West renault sell them on here for £66 delivered. sorry to jack your thread but does anyone know if this is just a direct replacement for the OEM 182 box? any modifications need doing??
seeing as your in dudley mate, i would just take em to city powder coaters (http://www.citypowdercoating.co.uk/), prices start at £20 a wheel to be chemically stripped, shot blast, sand, powder coat and lacquered... and for an extra £5 you can have custom colours to be a bit different.
Have a...
no idea, i just asked for 2 x 8200867250 and they said it would be ready for collection tomorrow
if your buying the new top mounts then buy the inserts aswell, if your staying with your original top mounts then just buy the insert
according to fred, if you have OE top mounts then you can just buy the new inserts and jobs done, so £10.10 for the pair
If you have the new top mounts then you MUST use the new insert, you cannot use the old insert.
