Never heard of adhesive carbon. Usually you need to wrap it around, then put resin on it and then in the oven. After that you polish it and paint with laquer or matt transparent.
Real carbon is stiff!
Unless you have pure carbon weave, and it looks like this:
It's like tissue.
Henry the problem with 4 to 5th it's that the revs don't get down fast enough, and the worn syncro it's not enough. A lightened flywheel could help! I have only to slow down a bit the gearchange, anyway you're going at 100+mph so you really don't need an istant change.
3->2 and 2->1 i'm used to...
Do you think there is a difference between ITG, K-tec and K&N panels?
I used to have a K&N cotton oiled filter in the mini, and i've got a yellow k-tec on the clio, it seems that the K&N filtered better, when I cleaned it it had a lot of dirt, dead insects etc
When i removed the foam filter last...
From the time I bought mine I used elf renault-spec oil, new dogbone with powerflex and new front box mount: it feels a lot better but it still crunches a bit when i go from 3rd to 2nd in a hurry (I noticed that it's a lot better if i pull the lever "down" instead of "down-left") and from 4th to...
I've thought of that, matter of fact monday morning i'm at the local renault center to check the A/C and i'm getting a few of those.
I even made these:
Mine isn't a cup, but hey, for 95£ the height drop, for look and lowering the gravity center, even if the ride isn't perfect it's ok.
I find the koni dampers a bit pricey. How much in UK for servicing and shortening the dampers?
Well, potholes, stress in the turns, a little accident, etc can bend a little some component, or maybe the car wasn't perfectly straight from the start.
Have you just bought the car or what?
I have SD2500 with the usual brembo HC and i can tell you they're not very dusty, not much more than OEM pads. Perfect pedal feels and they are great from cold and under stress.
CL I've heard they are noisier and more aggressive on the discs.
J what are you saying, it's louder with the sports cat than with the decat?! I don't think so!
Maybe you got it wrong, i've already the 182 manifold on, with the short decat and the superstealth, i'm going to replace the decat with the sports cat! It's should be quieter...
Anyway the...
I went for the decat on mine since the original was broken.
Honestly with the superstealth, that should be quieter thant your exhaust, it's too loud.
By now I have 182 manifold+short decat, but i'm waiting to receive the sports cat bought from here.
The decat it's good if you use the car on...
I tried them on a mini (same seats but in leather and alcantara...awesome) and I think they are the best tilting/reclining seats available...maybe toghether with the ones on the Integra:
Both are better than the trophy seats in my opinion.
Some brembo and ap kit fits under 16".
If you can find it the Fiat Coupè 20v turbo had brembo and 16":

Ap makes the CP5100-1005 4 pistons kit, it was made for the fiat punto gt and it fits with 16x7 wheels.
Unless you can go for some mighty AP or Brembo systems (which are overkill on a light car like the 172-182 in my opinion) stick to standard brakes, just go for ds2500 for the road or something more aggressive for the track.
A friend of mine who does all the work on my car as a diag box with touchscreen etc win98 on it, it can access pretty much every car with a OBD port.
He paid it 3k euros and every year 1k for the updates...
If you want quality ride, without crashes etc...good handling and spot on height Bilstein PSS is the way to goo, but they are EXPENSIVE.
I heard that weitec and FK are good too in that compartment.
I don't get why aftermarket steering wheels have nice and durable leather while at renault they keep using this S**T
My car came with a ghastly aftermarket wheel, I was going to replace it with an original used one but then i saw how they become after a year or so, especially if you leave the...
We tried everything, changed the pump, the radiator, a pipe suspected to be leaking, the temperature sensor inside the engine bay... I'll try at renault, any idea?
The air conditioner works for 10 minutes, than stops, then again it works...summer is coming :(
DUH? It seems pretty stright forward to me, the only thing is that when you remove the dogbone you could not get that the "metal lips" has to be removed too, we used a press.
Oh, and watch out for the two metal cilinders, they haven't got the same hole diameter.
