I've got mild steel ktec superstealth + dekat + 182 manifold and is noisy as well..It had a horrible Remus DTM exhaust when i bought it, but it was way quieter, maybe i would have been better off chopping off the tips and making it a stealth one.
I'm thinking of fitting a silencer in the middle...
Jam, today i was at the bodyshop to choose the colour of my freshly refurbished wheels (stock 172 ones, DIY), he had at least 2000 different greys...I hope i didn't get it wrong, i chose a dark grey with a light touch of blue, i've tried to pick one that looks right with the iceberg silver of my...
Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
I'm going to mount the purple dogbone bushes and a new renault gearbox mount, I shouldn't have unwanted vibrations right?
Chris if you can could you try a 50-90 kph (in 2nd) or a 90-130 kph (in 3rd), starting the clock when you press the pedal from constant speed? I haven't RR mine but i've tried these acceleration time and even have some videos...
I don't think so, when mounted is perfectly aligned with the engine and the dekat, so it's not bent. I think that with a new (and not a 8 years old) dogbone mount it wouldnt knock.
And if this wasn't an issue renault wouldn't have made the ones with the dent.
I've still got the cleaning kit for the K&N cotton filter from my previous car, is it ok to use it for the yellow foam filter from k-tec? I've removed it after 10k and it doesn't seem very dirty, the K&N was A LOT dirtier, with mosquitos, pieces of leaves etc...
I'm following the K&N...
Clio 172/Cup/182 - LOWER FRONT GEARBOX MOUNT - All Clio 172 & 182 models inc Cup versions
Clio 172/Cup/182 - UPRATED TWISTED TYPE LOWER ENGINE MOUNT BUSHES - All Clio 172 & 182 models.
We'll see in a few days the results. To mount the rubber block what do you need to do? How long does it take?
It's a lot easier to modify the 182 engine to increase the power to the 200 level (which has not 200 real horse power...). The real advantage of the 200 is the gearbox, 6 gear and much sweeter to use, the brakes and the chassis.
If you want to change the engine is better to go with the megane...
We've tried to replicate the dent...the manifold is VERY hard, we tried every kind of clamp, we bent it a few mm and scratched the surface a lot. The engine is already tilted as much as it goes.
I've seen the dogbone twisted mount on k-tec, is not very expensive, are you sure it will solve the...
My car isn't cup packed, so... He tried to tilt the engine but it wasn't enough, instead of always hitting the bar, it does it only when accelerating hard.
The upper engine mount is new, the low one isn't, but i can't change it for this, then when it worns out a bit it would hit again....
I'm...
We tried...no result. And we couldn't bend the manifold...I don't know what to do, how does it fit on the 182, different engine mounts? Different antiroll bar?!
Yesterday I went to my friend's garage to see if the car was ready, one of the jobs was to fit the 182 manifold (on a my02 172).
The manifold scrubs against the front anti roll bar... :(
I've seen that some of the manifold on sale here have a "dint" in the exactly same place where it scrubs on...
I've just received a pair of re050 195/45/16 84v XL for the front wheels, the actual rear Pzero Nero are shot, so the front ones go in the back...I've got them on the mini (205/45/17) and they're pretty good everywhere, stiff sidewalls, good in spirited driving on dry and VERY good in the wet...
