wow, really?
having never been on a track, especially not the Nordschleife I had no idea the driver had anything to do with anything.
thanks for clearing that up for me, I really appreciate it.
yeah man, seriously, why can't people just enjoy a nice video?
Clio 200 looks cool, takes on lots of fancy expensive machinery and wins. What's not to like?!
Hang on folks, before you call the GT3 driver "sh.t" I'd like to point out that he put in a BTG 8.36 with cold tyres and poor conditions (read the comments).
So, again, big respect for the Clio.
Indeed. The Clio driver seems to understand how to drive a car.
If you read the comments below the video there's quite a bit of fun being made of the porker driver (mostly in German).
Still though, pretty cool.
looks awesome on those rims.
You're absolutely right, should've been like that from standard.
let us know how you get on with it!
White is the colour. Mine arrives next week, can't wait!!!!
Great looking car that mate. What size are the wheels and tyres?
Would those side skirts fit a 200? I have a GW on order, might suit it quite nicely...
from discussion in another thread, there seems to be rumour that the 200 only has 4 seats, is that correct?
anyone have a 200 with 3 seatbelts in the back?!
There were two packs available for the 182 - the Cup Chassis pack and the Aero pack.
The Aero pack gives you the front spliter and rear spoiler, the Cup Chassis gives you the suspension upgrades.
So, if you have anthracite rims you probably have the cup chassis but you don't have the spoiler...
yeah Switzerland got 50 Trophies - the only country other than the UK to get them.
Mine's for sale at the moment as I have a 200 on order :-)
So again, anyone have a 200 with three seats in the back??
I use 205s on standard 16" turinis and find them excellent: plenty of grip in the snow and ice but still sufficient dry weather performance for a bit of fun on the way up the mountain passes to the ski resorts :-)
I've done a couple of track days on winter tyres too (didn't get round to...
In Switzerland you can have the middle rear seatbelt removed as a no cost option. As standard it comes with three belts in the back though.
Might be different for the UK spec cars. Seems a shame not to have three seats in the back though - it's a bit tight for three in the back, but might come...
Small suggestion from Switzerland: Get some bloody winter tyres!
You simply would not beleive the difference they make. Over in Zurich we get this sort of weather every year but the whole place doesn't come to a complete standstill because everyone slaps on their winter tyres from October to...
200 has three seatbelts in the back, but only two headrests
Another important difference is the faster steering rack in the 200. I haven't drive an R27 but the 200's rack is a lot faster than my Trophy which gives you brilliant control of the front end.
I always found my 182 quite efficient on a long motorway journey. Pretty bad when going for it or in town traffic, but as you say Louis, it's NA.
For me, that's one of the best things about it - the high rev limit, brilliant throttle response, linear delivery (discounting the cam change...
better to drive than the STI? Seriously? That'd be impressive, explain?
Great spec by the way, recaros and LY, weren't pulling punches at the dealer were you!
My 200 should arrive in the next couple of weeks - can't wait and reading all your positive reviews is just making the excitement build!
Quick question on the stereo loudness; is this just the case for the standard spec stereo or does it also affect the optional unit?
Interesting to hear...
I have a similar story to tell - for months I loved provoking a bit of lift-off oversteer on a roundabout near my office...
One fine friday morning I flicked the little Mini left and then right, lifting at the point of weight transfer, ready to catch the slide with a touch of oppo... Next...
I beleive the Turinis sold by Ktec are the same offset as the cup and they are available in anthracite so this would solve your problems.

Looks awesome, especially from the rear three quarter.
I think black dulls down the front end: Great for people who can't live with the blunt nose, a shame for those (few) who can.
If you're going for a spoiler, make it the factory Renault option, a small lip which sits flush with the rest...
The Trophy rolls a bit less than the 182 FF, but the both do that whole bouncey bouncey thing on track, which gets in the way when you're in maximum attack / full crazy idiot sideways mode.
I've only driven the 200 for 45 minutes on the road, but I have a feeling it's a lot more planted than...
I've owned a 182 FF and currentl own a Trophy but I have just ordered a 200.
For me the Trophy is a great handling car in the sense that it's very chuckable and reactive to inputs. But this same fizziness is what gets it into trouble when the road gets bumpy or when the speed picks up - it...
