I guess I'm just worrying, its a 2 year old car and I won't wanna break anything from remapping it. Just want to understand what extra strain I'd be putting through the car with an extra 25BHP & 35 ft/lb.

The gearbox just feels flimsy...like the rest of the car! You do realise I own a Renault :p

I'm looking into getting a remap (MK3 1.2TCE), however the standard clutch/gearbox doesn't feel too strong. How does a gearbox actually wear? Apart from crunching and slamming it into gear? I'm just wondering how I would treat the gearbox better with more power running through it, to prolong...

LOL...I couldn't remove the rear wheel. My dad had to do it for me!

Rear 1/4 is the one part I'd want genuine. Don't want that to not line up correctly! See if the bloke on here "West Renault" can sort out a cheap part.

Unlucky mate, I'd guess you're looking at about £1000 to repair that. Sh*t happens, at least you can admit you were in the wrong! Hopefully the police don't prosecute you. And thankfully moped man wasn't hurt. It's not nice being in accidents :(
