    de cat... how effective?

somethink like that yes. early 90's im sure!!! If you go to a strict MOT place that will flag up even the smallest defect then you have no chance of passing with out a Cat. unless you get the dumbest tester that think a silenced decat is a real Cat!

    Sound

by the looks of your profile you have a 1.2 clio. i really wouldnt bother mate...such a waste of cash doing it to that sort of car. not being funny but you will regret dong anything to do it once you can afford a more powerful car. if you insist on making more sound then just buy a cheap...

    Clio 1.6 16v Starting problems

you say the fan kicks in? Do this when the engine is 100% cold. start it up as normal and disconnect the sensor. if the fan kicks in then you know it shouldnt do that as coolant isnt hot enough! Maybe a fail safe on the clio's (dont know clio's too well). if the temp sensor is disconnected...

    Lambda Probe - Decat Question

So nothing special i need to do or take note of for these exhausts. nice easy swap over then. good! Engine light would come on for more than one reason with the TU engine.

    de cat... how effective?

If you all knew the regulations for an MOT then you'd be better informed! For a car to pass MOT it must have a CAT fitted. Irrelivant if it would pass on emmision or not. If it hasnt got one, its a fail! This is not the case for cars older than a certain year (cant think what year that is...

    Clio 1.6 16v Starting problems

ICV (idle control valve) or coolant temps sensor isnt functioning properly...will tell the ecu its warm when its not. thus preventing the ecu using its cold start map. When its warm it will run fine as the reading on temp are correct. If that doesnt solve it then clean ICv (assuming clio's...

    Exhaust gas warning light

if you need a new cat then its worthwhile biting the bullet and going for a sports cat. that way you have the performance increase (ever so slightly) and the MOT pass too. All depends how much a new Cat is really. I picked up my two kittens for £40...meow! oops, slight off track there...

    Lambda Probe - Decat Question

i think the sleeve will solve your problem then mate ^ because it readin 100% fresh air the ecu recognises that and flashes it up. if it fits in the sleeve its sealed up iirc!

I do like the strips but my other mate, by the sounds of it has one identical to yours, so for that reason i wouldnt want to be the same! I thought about a cup. would be nice to have the raw version but i think for my 40mile a day world journeys i need the toys, espcially in the summer! air...
