What mumbo did I write!!! I run 205/50/15s all round I only scrape on the fronts at the two places, which differ from wheel to wheel. The front arch liner on the drives side and side skirt on the passenger side!

My friend has A539s on his car (not a clio) and he loves them, swares by them, I like them too, as I drive it a lot. Much better than his old tyres!

What do you recommend then, 195/50/15 or 185/55/15, which will be the lowest profile over all. and then what tyre would you tell me is best BenR. Then I will place my order and be done!

Exactly the same as mine and two others on Renault Sports club! Mine also rubs on the passenger side front at the back on the skirt! Thats four of us that have the exact same problem, very strange!!!

They are streched when they go on... pulled outwards which lowers the profile slightly and reduces slip on corners!

This is where VW have an advantage, you can put a Mk4 lump in a MkI no problem what so ever. All the mounting positions are the same, excluding the stupidly big engines. I have a friend or two with VR6 MkI and and MkII golfs. These things are rapid, 55 MPH in first gear! And then theres the G60...

Yep, sounds about right, after a good few miles parts wear and thin oil seeps down valve seals and smokes!!!

Sorry to butt in, I have a phase 3 (facelift), would I be able to put the wings on or do I need new Bonnet and Lights or will it not fit?
