Oh right, cool. So I won't have a problem with the rubber seals either? Excellent! I might go and do them soon then, and give her a muchneed wash and polish afterwards. (Got new mats to put in too). Should look good with the new head unit. ;)
Thanks for the advice and reassurance. :)
Oh, I had to change the intended rear kit though. The dumb arses said it would fit my car but it turned out it wouldn't, so I chose a more expensive one and they are paying the difference for 'their' mistake. I actually like it better too, although it is not quite as subtle as the one I first...
Erm no not yet :o I really do like the look of the new ones, but I'm kind of scared to get the old ones off. Yes I know that sounds whimpish, but I have seen quite a few people have had bother in removing and fitting new lights. I know nothing about electrics so I have to rely on Hubby to fit...
NIce wheels mate. They are indeed Super turismos.(IF that is the correct pic). I have them on mine, and as the guys have said, as long they are the right offset they should fit straight on. As Dubai182 says, I really do hope they are what the advert says they are, as those pics are not of...
I have finally got my car booked in to have it's new suspension kit fitted, goes in on the 24th of this month. Woohoo!! :D :D I'm really looking forward to this now, I find it very odd considering how against lowering I was at the begining, but thanks to some very helpful CS members, I finally...
I always used to love the older cars, so they already had rattles and squeaks, but never seem to put me off, although the longest I kept one for was 2 1/2 years I think (The Capri). The last 2 cars have been Clios. 1st one I had for exactly 3 years and two weeks before it got written off ( not...
I still only have a sunroof ratlle. It has got abit louder than when I first mentioned it and agree it can now actually annoy me sometimes (which is abit of a surprise to me), other than that 'so far so good', but I am waiting for all the other little rattles and squeaks everyone else is...
Sounds like an excellent idea JMR. I am getting my seats and door cards and rear bits recovered in leather soon, but decided to get the strips down the middle (bits you sit on and the bits your back rests on) done in alacantra' (sp) to stop my legs and back suffering in the summer, so I will...
First time every time for me too (so far) ~Touches wood~.
I 'always' make sure she has reached 'normal' running temp and give her a bit of a run (5-10 miles once warm) before bringing her home too.
If Renault insist you have to have your 'imported' Clio serviced more often than normal UK Renaults, then it has got to be for one reason, and one reason only. To make MORE money out of you, convince you the car needs it as it's an 'import', implying that 'imports' are not as good. Do they think...
My car is an import (came from Germany) and it's a UK spec car. The car didn't come with an alarm , but all my insurance company were worried about was if it had an immobiliser. I indeed only got 2 years RENAULT warranty but paid for an extra year. As far as Renault were concerned it did not...
Clarkson likes Clios though, he just isn't too impressed with the build quality. I reckon he will 'love' the way it drives but won't be impressed with it's understated looks. I reckon he will sl4g the looks of it 'big' time, but I guess we will just have to wait and see. ;)
That's the ticket! If they 'know' someone just isn't going to let them get away with it, chances are they will give you what you want. It appears you have to become a severe bully with Main Dealers these days, and showing them up infront of potentail customers is always an excellent idea too.;)...
 @that.
It does appear that the 'newer' Renaults are made with inferior materials. This should be sorted out to the 'customers' satisfaction. Have they never heard of 'The customer is always right'? Do they not know what Good Customer Service' is? Good job we onw Renaults and not...
What is the matter with all these main dealers anyway? Are they stupid or something?THEY do not have to pay for replacing faulty parts, RENAULT UK pay. The main dealers get the money back from Renault , so what the f**k is their problem????
This Renault warranty lark really is a load of crap! I was informed by a main dealer that my car would not need it's 1st service until it reached 2 years old or 18k miles. I had asked what would happen if the car reached 2 years old but hadn't reached 18k, would it then need a service? I was...
Sounds like a dodgy sensor to me too, as going through £10's worth of petrol doing no more than 15 miles just isn't right, unless of course you are ragging the s**t out of her.
My 1.6 seems to be fine in this weather, although the fan does cut in when the temp outside hits 34 and above, but the cars temp gauge stays right in the middle once warmed up (gets there quite quickly in this heat) and never goes above it.
That could also be a very good idea. See what you OFT says, and if indeed Renault are responsible, tell him about the club and the problems other Clio owners are having and see if a 'group' complaint would be good and fair practice.
