I know mate, and you know what.
The missus only bloody saw a racing blue one without the stripes and wants to definitely take em off now.
I've told her that I'm not doing it coz if it leaves lines where the paint has faded I'm not getting the blame. hahahaha.
Its definitely something I've noticed, if you're caught in the wrong gear the Clio 172/182s are not as quick yet if you keep it on he boil its raring to go!
I noticed it more after I got my 225 though, nice to have that extra torque from 2000rpm.
No they are not lexus lights, since when do Lexus have black tail lights???? :)
I actually didn't like the standard lights being all read, they didn't match the colour of the car and didn't contrast it, so I went for black K-tec ones instead. Also bare in mind that I intend on powder coating...
The reason they are so clean is coz I am sad and cleaned them all way too often haha.
Having said that, coz I commute by train to work I don't drive the Megane that much. 2000 miles in 8 months!! lol
Seemed the natural progression IMO. I sold my 172 last November and ordered my Megane and got that in January.
Was a bit annoyed that the phase 2 came out just after I received mine but the nice thing is that they've stopped the 'Inferno' colour and the orange detailing for the interiors. :D :D
Found a pic of my second car so thought I'd post up my last three cars....
Got this when I was 19, got it on an X reg with 1400 miles on it and 8 months old. Not fast, not hugely modded but very comfy and very tidy!!
Then when I was 21 I got my Clio 172 -
Then at 23 I...
Probably easier to order one already mate. You'll get a twin 15" sub box no problem, generally you need to measure out the exact size to get the volume of air in the box correct.
November 2003 - Clio 172 full fat, brand new £12,500. Sold for £7600 with 14,500 miles on it in November 2005. :D
January 2006 - Megane 225 full fat, brand new £16,400 (inc Xenons/Climate Control) and still happy camper 2000 miles on! :D
I'd definitely speak to the council!!
There should be adequate drainage or at least warnings too prevent this kind of thing happening. :(
This kind of thing should have been prevented by better roads etc etc. Try your best to get them to pay out, bearing in mind you had no choice about...
I drove a Corsa 1.2 courtesy car whilst I owned a Clio 1.2 Grande and the Corsa was just nasty.
Build quality was no different than the Clio but the interior was just horrid!!
Also IMO the Clios look 10 times better on the outside as well.
Me and my missus are in Surrey. I'm in Purley and she's near Epsom so keep an eye out for an inferno Megane 225 and a gordini striped racing blue Clio 182 Cup!!! :D :D
To be honest, I've lost the fecking plot on this haha.
I thought it was no to keeping them and yes to keeping them.
From what I've read more people are in favour of keeping them than getting rid though!! lol
P.S - I didn't set up the poll!! haha
Had my 172 for two years from new and did just under 15,000 miles and only had a couple of very minor things looked at by Renault. Generally I'd say they are superb cars!! :D
I believe you can get Richrbrook ones that screw on but you need a key to undo it. The outside of the valves just spins round so you can't undo it by hand!!
I used to have these too, just make sure you WD40 em before you put em on, there is a grub screw that locks em in place...
Seriously hope the driver/passengers were ok but doesn't sound too hopefuly! :(
Don't think ABS would have helped, one of those series of factors that came together too make for a disaster. We've all driven too fast, all been a little careless, doesn't matter what your driving accidents like...
The build quality really isn't an issue if you look after the car. I recall Clarkson saying how cheap it was but bear in mind he tests cars that are worth hundreds of thousands and then gets in a £14k car!?!?!?! It is cheap so won't feel like a supercar! lol
The driving position isn't too...
Thats kinda the conclusion we came too!!!
Taking them off could cause a whole heap of troubles if the paint has faded round em.
It was purely the attention that concerned my missus. Then she comes out with 'shall I get the wheels coated white??' lol that won't drawer attention!! ;) :D :D
Mate thats the one!!! Tried it last night and it sorted it no problem.
Funnily enough a couple of people on other forums came up with the same instructions. Couldn't find that anywhere in the instructions though. Bloody Kenwood haha.
Tis a nice unit though, glad thats all sorted now...
Right, I'm gonna have to go back to the drawing board! I took the headunit out and there was no sticker!! :(
Still none the wiser on how to tur off the b*stard demo mode!
No they are still on the car!! lol
Having just spent £350 on repairing the damage some cretin did in a car park, I don't think she wants the hassle of potentially faded paint round the stripes!
Interesting too see that its nearly a 50/50 split on people saying to keep em or not.
A mate of mine has found a Clio V6 in red with 8500 miles on it for about £16k.
Its an 03 plate although is a MK1 V6, he just wanted to know if there is anything that he should be looking out for when buying, known faults etc.
Also does anyone know of a V6 specific club, I'm sure I saw...
