fair enough. problem is im used to driving bikes, and i find driving so boring if i cant hear the engine. so, loudish exhaust is necassery.
any suggestions on the matter would be lovely ? or a better way to remove the baffles or some such
that aint bad for a 3 series. was looking at getting a 2litre one, like 03 or something, but cant afford insurance. gonna stick with my little clio till i can afford insurance on a 182 or something :)
not the sport. bog standard :) aint bothered about performance in the slightest tbh, if i have to i will decat it, id just rather get the baffles out first. saves pissing about at MOT time.
gonna give exhaust place thats a few miles away a ring tomorrow and see what they think.
its so...
yeah but i just paid £250 :/ dont wanna be instantly ditching it and buying another one. im guessing removing the baffles is gonna make alot of difference? is cutting it open the most logical way of going about this, or has anyone got any ideas ? my mate said he had rubber ones or something in...
thats steap aint it?
its a 2010 a6 s-line 2.7l thing, i knew it would be horrendous price for me to get insured on but that was ridiculous.
my mate got quoted £4500 on a bike the otherweek aswell
looked at how much it would be for me to get insured on my dads audi today....£16,000 if paid in one sum. dont think ill be doing that in a rush....
whats the worst insurance quote anyones got?
not noticably louder at all mate, why im disapointed and want to get baffles out. its a straight pipe from the cat to the back box, no silencers except cat and box
i dont want it to be horrendoulsy loud, but atm ive paid £250 odd quid for a cat back and you dont know ive got one because its no louder than standard. so the bafffles are coming out, or im decating it. one or the other, not both. and id rather take the baffles out
because ive got a cat back system, but its no louder than the standrard exhaust system so want to make it bit louder. only silencers ive got are the back box and the cat. rather do this than decat the car
right. back box looks like this....
idea is. cut a large square from the top, remove or drill loads of holes in the baffles. weld square back on. gonna get proper exhaust place to do this obviously, is this a reasonable idea ? i cant think of any other way to get the baffles out....?
ive got a 2003 clio mk2 1.2 16v. umm just the light came on and it overheated once, then the light stayed on from then so took it to the garage. paid £10 or so for a sensor in the engine bay and job done, never came back
ah right, well if they dont sell hammerite over there then any good paint that can get applied straight onto rust or just metal would be alright tbh. or just order it if you dont mind the postage price
id get it checked first, came on for me before and it ended up costing £9 for something in the engine bay. might wanna check before paying loads of money for sensors
here it is, not exactly what i rememebered it to be but may help, give it a go

no idea why it does it, but saw something in a thread a few days ago about holding the trip meter button and the buttong on the end of one of the controler stalks for a few seconds as the saem time. and after a few seconds all the dials do a little dance and stuff resets. somehting along those...
seen somewhere someone had put a false back to the passenger footwell (they dont need that much legroom) so like under the dash at passengers feet.
not the best picture, this ones not done great, but you get the idea
ah yeah my mate said something about that the otherday actuarly. aint it where you push the seat back and forth it pulls the wires out/sheers them ? something like that
right, the service light and the airbag light come one and off at the same time alot. cant work out what causes them to come on or off they just seem to do it when they please.
anyway, took it to a garage and he ran a diagnostics and said there was no problem at all, so he cleared the fault...
want to get my bumper trims colour coded to match the car (metallic black) any recomendations for somewhere in the southwest that could do this ? and what sort of prices should i be expecting to pay ? dont want to get ripped off, cheers
i mean, the exhaust has made it sound nice, but its no louder than the standard system. so i want to make it a bit louder ( not horrendously ) only silencers are the cat and the back box. so options are decat or smash the baffles out the back box.
how strenous is it to remove the baffles ? any...
