You know what... here goes.:
Gearstick is 12mm in size.
But since we have a lift-reverse... you can only go down 20mm (depth) with the knob, before the lift-reverse comes up 15mm with a 25mm surrounding.
(25mm for the plastic bit that holds the reverse lift-up)
So you have to square it off...
The F4R runs a bit rough... as to the vibration. Or are you experiencing excessive vibrations?
Unstable idle could be various reasons.
Perhaps clean the TDC sensor?
How are the sparkplugs?
The knob is glued on, and the stick has a knurled top end, so no thread.
I will remove mines since i have a Allen screwed on Richbrook gearknob.
Let you know in the morning, nappy time for me! -ZZZZZzzz-
Regulates the idle (just a sensor for the ECU)... so when stationary, just idling along.
Or the Idle Control Valve; acting as a gate allowing various amounts of air into the engine. Can stick so it let's too much air in or starve it.
Could also be your TDC sensor.
Top Dead Center sensor for...
?
No just a 'chrome' coating so the orange of the indicatorbulb doesn't show, only when blinking.
So you get a all 'white' / 'clear' front.
Or do you mean the main bulbs?
With a higher 'candle' capacity / outshine as to resemble a Xenon / HID unit.
Aka CHAV standard! LOL
You gave the answers yourselves.
Sand them down (after degreasing and getting rid of any silicons)
Coat of primer
Fine sand it
Coats of colour
Coats of clear laquer!
Guessing the idle sensor is faulty... due to oil & gunk in the TB.
Coming mainly from the crankcase breather... give it a good cleaning.
Should work wonders.
Or do a search to see others with similair problems.
Hi Tom,
Don't you just love the Alps and the various passes?
The mountains and views always humble you...
Your pics brings back memories when i was younger and had a wee Mini Cooper 1.3Mpi with a loud JanSpeed exhaust.
Drove to Lake Garda - Modena - Kaprun (Aus).
(MTB holiday with a visit to...
You where saying?
See Maz's pic...
LMAO people to lazy to put some effort in.
Sho nuff a respray wins, but that's not what Maz was after in the first place innit?
Respect Paul... for doing that at Cadwell Park.
Spotted correct trackday manners.
At the end of the day everybody wants to run his laps.
Just gave way to faster cars and signal correctly.
Very noisy? That's a understatement... : )
