Had the car up on the standard reno jack over the weekend. Not doing any real work on it, just having a look at something. Had taken the wheel off and was on pretty level ground. I think the car must have moved very slightly, cos I heard a ticking sound, got out of the way, grabbed the wheel...

Within the last two weeks my Cup has had... Greenstuff front pads OEM rear discs and pads Braided lines Fluid change Difference is amazing. Much better intial bite and the pedal has a nice progressive feel to it... Money well spent!

My Cup has developed a knocking/banging from the back of the car. I thought it was the exhaust at first, but have had this checked out and nothing is wrong with it... Its the same kind of noise you would expect from an exhaust banging on the underside of the car, coming from the nearside...

Did these at the weekend and really like them. What do you think? They look good from a distance, but close up the green of the pads clashes with the yellow. Going to paint the back of the pads black this weekend to finish it off nicely...

Is bolt holding the disc to the hub on a standard right hand thread on both sides? Should this be tightened to a particluar torque when re-fastening? Ta, Phil.

Had new fornt discs and pads 18k ago. Just replaced the pads which werent bad to be honest, but was wondering.... How many miles will I get out of the discs? Theyve got a lip on them but dont look too bad at the minute... Ta, Phil.

Right, Upgraded my pads to Greenstuff at the weekend. Outer pads went in okay, ones behind the disc took a tiny bit of filing. Got them in and made sure there was copper slip on the lugs. They went in, but didnt have as much movement as the outer ones. Now they squeal when barking gently...

Fitted mine on saturday and they are still not great... How many miles does it normally take to get them properly bedded in to the shape of the disc? Ta, Phil

Was under the Cu yesterday and noticed that the plastic guard underneath the radiator is hanging down on one side. Its held in place by two bolts, one of which is missing. Anyone know what kind of bolt it is so I can go and swipe one from the engineering stores at work? Ta, Phil.

Car look loads better in the flesh than in pictures. The vents behind the front wheels are a nice touch. they hadn't fitted the front splitter to this one, which would probably have improved it further. Interior feels much better than mine. The steering wheel is perfect and has a nice red...

One of my washer jets is blocked... tried unblocking it with a pin, but no luck. think im going to have to remove and clean from the other side. Anyone know how these come off????

Currently driving a 172 Cup. Had her for 2 years now and getting itchy feet. Problem is there is nothing that really appeals to me without spending a fotune. It can't be any bigger than the Cup to fit in the garage. I like the Trophy, but cant justify the extra cost for the advantages over...

Driving home last night and I saw a silver 182 with the lighter alloys. Got me thinking. Why would you buy a 182 without the Cup packs (well at least the suspension) when the cost was less than 300 notes (I think)? TP
