PS has anyone else noticed that their 197 is limited to 7000 rpm in 6th gear?

Really? NG57 N*P I think it was! It didnt the first time we did it, but this time It was about 270 per person based on 2 sharing for ferry and hotels, plus 90 each in petrol, plus spending money and laps :( Was good though!

Yeah i noticed after a good few laps that the milltek started popping loads! guess its just as it gets fully warmed up!

Yeah my thoughts exactly, we saw a subaru "chasing a time" and it ended up in the armco a few corners on in quite a bad way! Best just enjoy it, unless you lap it a lot and know the track - which I definately dont yet!

Im not sure really what times, I didnt have that many clear runs and there were road works towards the end of the track. Still a huge amount of fun!

Yeah its just standard non cup suspension, I took a cupped 197 last year, thought this one was going to feel soft on track in comparison but it didnt really, was really impressive!

Took my 197 to the ring this week, im impressed with the pics that were taken! Ill put a full write up on here when I get chance, went with 5 other cars :D

I would normally agree but having been out in it, its not a fair comparison! - it would run rings round a 22b

Its not for me to say, but the guy who built it has upwards of 50k in it. The rest of it is pretty mental!

Hi there, My mate has just bought this 22b rep Impreza, its an interesting car though! Carbon Fibre panels, its got a Roger Clark built engine putting out 400 bhp ish, EX TC Coilovers, AP 6 Pots etc. It goes really well - here are some pics!

Is that a white Sti impreza in the reflection? :D

Mine was near on impossible to keep in a straight line on the motorway, car was a facelift model and had been set up by abp motorsport with camber adjusters etc. Just had no feel either, was a shame because I had wanted one for ages.

I did the same - im back in a 197 though now! I didnt get on with the steering and the peaky power delivery

Thought i would give the 197 a clay this weekend, as going to the nurburgring in a few weeks so want it all clean! Also went for a bit of a drive this afternoon in the sun :)
