Found a 51 plate 172, in silver, completly standard with 12 months mot for £1800 but its got 114,000 miles on the clock... should i stay well clear or do you think it would be ok? looks tidy enough though

I think thats mint, apart from the thing you have done to the rear lights.. much preferre them wheels to the 182 wheels aswel mate, lovely colour aswel

is there any point in remapping a standard 172 and will i notice much difference? I seen on the jms tuning website that they do maps for a reasonable price so would it be worth it?

hmm maybe ill take it to a few places and get a few quotes for a replica one like ktec make then and see what they say

yeah the 2 centre exhausts is what i really like about the 182s so i deffo want to get that look for my 172 when i get it.. maybe if i cut the wheel well out and took it to longlong for a custom system then i could get a tidy fit exhaust made up

yeah iv seen that but its expensive and wouldnt want to pay that for an exhaust.. cutting the wheel well out and welding a plate in will be no problem and its also sheading weight.. Only want to pay £300 max for an exhaust system

would a standard or even an aftermarket 182 exhaust system fit straight onto a 172 if i cut the spare wheel well out?

just seen a 182 style exhaust on the ktr website which looks quite good, also a few other nice bits and pices on there aswel like the roll cages which im going to get for mine in time

I am currently selling my astra gsi in order to buy a clio sport 172 ph2 but i like the 182 exhausts so im curious if you can get a 182 style exhaust for the 172? also, what is the different from standard, engine wise to give the 182 that extra 10bhp? cheers

just a standard phase 2 172 cleo in silver.. plans are hopefully to spray the standard wheels black with a yellow or red lip going round the wheels, yellow or red calipers to match the lip on the wheels.. new exhaust system and lower it a bit
