I like it. Think it looks better than Flame Red tbh

    197 Cup car

Is it one of the Michelin Cup cars? There was (is?) a series for basically standard 197s that was associated with the main Clio Cup. Still, as @Yorkshire Pudding says, that's still a decent price really. Got some nice bits on it.

    New Megane 2022

Looks shite to me, but I guess I'm not the target market. Just don't see the appeal of this crossover business.

    Clio 200/220 high milage

I believe there is a guy in eastern Europe somewhere doing DSG controllers now, as a few people are starting to fit the 'boxes into other cars. I saw an off-the-shelf adaptor kit to fit one into a Corsa VXR on eBay a while back.

    Ricardo's 200EDC

I like the red blade, makes it stand out a bit.

    Wow, that's some dedication!

    Clio 200/220 high milage

That would be interesting to see. Is it just that the friction material isn't up to the job? Would be cool to see a few more highly modified ones, as there aren't many on here.

    Clio 200/220 high milage

Interesting. Has anyone put really big power through one? Are there any fixes for the clutch? Seen a few people comment about it .

    Clio 200/220 high milage

Sorry to hijack, but are the gearboxes in these pretty good? Has there been any talk of failures with lots of launches etc?

    Shmee in a Vee

Success. The gobshite persona made Moyles famous. Same with Clarkson. Shmee is no different. The hyper-jolly, "hi guys", business is what's made his channel work, so why change it? If you listen to the interview he did with Jonny Smith, he was very clear about it. His videos are very formulaic...

    Ciao a tutti da Roma!

Agreed. White Turinis on Racing Blue is a great combination. They work perfectly together, and make it look a bit like an R3 rally car

    Ciao a tutti da Roma!

Welcome! That looks almost exactly like my old 197. Looks great!

    Titanium MrBlonde

I must say, I wasn't a big fan of those wheels on your car in the standard colour. They didn't seem to work somehow. They look loadsssss better now they're gold though!

My second car - Pulsar GTI R

Power-to-weight probably isn't a million miles off a Clio, so I wouldn't expect much difference in straight-line performance, especially once you factor in drivers and other conditions. Put both on a wet, muddy B-road and it would probably be a different story.

Not seen his missus I guess then.

    Shmee in a Vee

Nope, just a regular state school. Calling him a silver-spoon tosser is a bit extreme though. Just don't watch his videos if you don't like them.

    Shmee in a Vee

His parents were reasonably wealthy, and he went to a decent school I think. He made money in IT or something I think. If you watch the interview with him on Jonny Smith's YouTube channel, it sounds like he has grafted quite a lot too though. I don't see why being from a wealthy family, or...

Some of you lot are pretty angry. He's just a bloke posting videos. Did he shag your missus or something?

My friend had a Celtic Tuning map put on his 1.6TDI Golf - I was surprised by how quick it felt afterwards!

    Shmee in a Vee

Agreed. He used to piss me off quite a bit but, ultimately, he's doing what he enjoys, so good luck to him. I don't like his content, but it seems plenty of people do, so at least he is doing something to get people interested in cars.

My second car - Pulsar GTI R

Doesn't surprise me at all. You only have to watch the likes of Adam LZ, TJ Hunt etc on YouTube. They've created massive hype about JDM cars over there. People are going absolutely bonkers for them. Good for current owners I guess, but bad for anyone that wants to buy one. I've heard there are...

My second car - Pulsar GTI R

Prices for this stuff are going mad, so hopefully it will be a decent investment. It looks great. Think I'd have to change the wheels for something a bit more period rally style personally, as I don't think the ones on it do much for it.

    The Clio Rally Car Thread

Thought I would give this thread a bit more love with a slightly oddball car - a Clio N5. These are built by RMC Motorsport in Spain and use a longitudinally mounted engine that is fitted into a variety of cars: Not sure about the front bumper, but the arches are quite cool!

Dash dodger cage or through the dash?

Dash dodgers can also be a pain in the arse when getting in and out of the car. In my old Escort, I endlessly kicked the front leg of the cage, as it was right in the way when getting into the car. Obviously a cage that goes through the dash and has double door bars will be awkward too, but at...
