New Laptop Spec - Photoshop and Video Editing

Needs to be a laptop, as I want to stay mobile.

New Laptop Spec - Photoshop and Video Editing

The hard drive in my laptop seems to have cried enough and, as it's old and pretty crap anyway, I think it's probably time to buy something new. I've started to do a bit of video stuff recently, so I want something that can cope with video editing, and some Photoshop too, as I'd like to get...

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

Yeah it's amazing how some content/people just catch the right moment. I posted a video about the GR Yaris and it got orders of magnitude more views than anything I've posted before, just because I posted it when a lot of the reviews were coming out.

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

That's pretty impressive. It's mad how some content just takes off like that. Nice work. You'll be shmee before you know it (you poor b*****d).

    Phase 1 Renault 9 Turbo

When I painted some bits for my old Escort rally car, basically everything in the garage ended up with a yellow tint

turbo charged rwd v8 clio - roll racing

Yeah would love to see this. Other side of the country annoyingly though. Maybe one day!

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

I've been watching a bit of drift content recently. What's with Adamz Lz and the nonce tache?

A Liquid Yellow Thread (JDM content)

Yeah there's definitely a bit of that, and you do see a few cars wrapped in horrendous coloured-chrome vinyl  There are some guys doing some really nice stuff too though. It just needs some tracks building really. If that happened, I think the car scene would grow massively.

A Liquid Yellow Thread (JDM content)

Depends where you are a bit. UAE has a circuit and Dubai and obviously Yas Marina, so you can do track days there. Has a few championships for various things too. Saudi is a bit shite currently, as F1 and Formula-E both use street tracks, so there is nothing permanent, but there is one being...

A Liquid Yellow Thread (JDM content)

Moving to Saudi has made me want to do it more weirdly. There's a decent JDM tuning scene here, so I've been watching to much YouTube content about Japanese cars.

A Liquid Yellow Thread (JDM content)

Mega. I really should go to Japan and visit some of the car spots.

    I’m back!

Welcome! Nice to see another MK3 on here. Any plans for it?

    The Clio Rally Car Thread

The mud flap rule is beyond idiotic. No idea why FWD cars need those stupid things hanging off the back wheels, total waste of time, especially on tarmac.

    Love hate 197

Are there many 197s in Oz? I do miss mine. Wasn't perfect, but they are a lot of fun.

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

It's about 40p a litre, so obviously massively cheaper than the UK, but it's pretty expensive by local standards I'm told. Apparently it's gone up quite a lot in the last few years. I haven't been to Malta, so I don't really have any experience, but it makes sense I guess, as there would have...

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

I will try to create something. Thought people might find it interesting to see what life is like here, as well as the car scene. It will be more interesting when I actually get round to buying a car though no doubt. Yeah I think it got reasonable reviews. People seem to rate them quite highly...

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

Went to a drift meet last night too. Wasn't the busiest, as apparently a few of the "big" cars were in Riyadh for the Autoville event. Another Hyundai Genesis Coupe. I'm quite tempted to get one of these to be honest, as they are probably about the best value RWD car that you can get with a...

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

Few more.... Nissan Cedric (one for weird JDM fans): Yet another old Merc: Charger R/T: These are quite funny. Chevrolet Caprice but, if you look closely, you'll see it's actually just an Omega with some slightly different panels. Most of them are beaten to hell like this one as well:

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

Few more spots when I was out walking around the neighbourhood over the weekend. Ford Crown Victoria with BMW M stripes 😂 Modified Mustang: M5 Comp - looks epic in red I think: Err? Pimped Panamera: CL600: Quite like these. We didn't get them in Europe. Hyundai Genesis...

Clio Cup Racer No28 Rally Car

Nice to see this getting some more updates. Are you running 1*2 front suspension bits now, rather than the Cup racer stuff?

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

I can't take too much credit, as it was a bit of a guess  Going to a drift night later, so hopefully see some more interesting stuff.

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

Yeah they were definitely function over form. It's a pretty mixed scene here. A lot of people are into American stuff, so it's mainly Chargers and Mustangs, but there's quite a big JDM scene too. A lot are pretty rough around the edges, but I guess that's a theme with drift cars everywhere...

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

Went to a autocross meeting tonight, so a few more Saudi spots. 370Z drift car. Had a ride in this. Looks pretty standard, but had a welded diff, hydro handbrake etc: 2.0 turbo accord. Looked standard but had Civic Type-R turbo, aftermarket downpipe and ethanol. Owner said it was about...

    McRaes Focus up for auction

Group B is so over-rated in my view. Apart from the fact that I can't get comfortable with celebrating an era where a load of people were killed through negligence, it wasn't even that competitive. Rallies were decided by gaps of minutes, and it was Audi domination, followed by Peugeot...

    Rally car

There are a few threads about the Group N timing, so it might be worth a search. @NorthloopCup had a batch of timing tools made some time ago. The standard ecu can be mapped to make it work, but don't know if there's anyone in Ireland with experience of it.

    Rally car

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see another rally Clio. You'll need to get it mapped with the Group N timing, but they seem to be the best things to do really. Beyond that, it's aftermarket cams and/or throttle bodies, then serious stuff like head work, pistons, rods etc. Best value is just...

    The Clio Rally Car Thread

That car was (is?) owned by a guy called Rod Brereton. I bought some bits off him several years ago. It ended up with wide arches and other things.
