Right ok, even more confused now?
I think it's -10 I need however how would this then attach onto the OEM metal breather piece at the rear of the engine?
After a little help if possible.
I'm in two minds to fit an oil catch tank, I've come across numberous threads however nothing regarding JIC/AN fittings?
Now I know JIC/Braided line isn't essential however it is something I'd like to do of at all possible.
Catch tank and fittings I'm sure...
I remember having 8 pots on a previous car and like for like AP's which was only 4/6 was dramatically better.
Saying that on a whole the more surface area with a good compound tends to be better...
Used to regular servicing every 2-3000 miles or 6 months ( which ever came first ). So I guess its a force of habit. If the car actually saw track days rather then sitting in the garage I would guess after every other track day so every two 2 months possible.
Not to everyone's taste but like I...
ATE around 12-18 months
OEM around 48 months
However I would of thought most people swap there fluid more than once every 4 years to keep it "fresh".
Most people swap OEM fluid every 8-12 months and aftermarket fluid depending on use 6-12 months.
Myself I swap the fluid every 3-6 months...
Out the two I'd suggest the KTEC one.
However I wouldn't expect much if any real world gains.
People have DIY built the KTEC 'style' for under £100 which may be an option for you.
Never been a fan of the PX Viper.
SRF has a life of around 18 months correct?
18 months close to 2 average services?
If that's the case SRF suggest similar life to if you were to swap the OEM brake fluid every two services to keep it "fresh".
So depending on how you look after your car it could indeed be the case that SRF...
A) You're wrong.
B) You're wrong.
C) You're wrong.
The E46 had extremely poor brakes when they come off the line let alone 5-6-7-8 years on. A quick browse of the owners club would also show I wasn't the only owner that thought this as a lot now have larger caliper upgrades or at least more...
I GUARENTEE a S2K is as quick as a Boxster S when driven correctly.
Owned both and the Boxster S isn't as quick as you'd expect or magazine books have you believe. ( Although the Boxster S was W-Reg and the S2K was an 08 so hardly apples for apples ).
Don't even consider the 2.5 which I...
Going slightly off OP's topic sorry.
Yes sorry I thought it was the newer S3, yes the 8L would need to be heavily mapped along with other things in all honest.
However, don't think because it's a Porsche they ( brand ) are head and shoulders above the rest. There are times I get in the 997...
Owning a 997 2S I'd say a good driver in a S3 wouldn't be far behind.
Although mine isn't manual and isn't used as a fun car however unless you're driving to the limits they feel heavy and bulky.
I'm guessing if it was a manual you'd have much more fun though. The Boxster S is a nice car...
I'm not keen on the black wheels although I do admit they work well.
The exhaust makes the rear look more "mean" and aggressive which is a plus in my eyes.
I've got a better question?
Is it worth spending ££££'s on the car to increase the power (or) start off with a more powerful car...
Putting that aside, my Ph1 airbox for (£50) was a nice little upgrade however others have said opposite.
