My cups slowly getting where I want. Since getting it the cars had a full service, coolant and new header tank.
Yesterday Fred had it back for new cambelt, aux belt and dephaser. The two belts were done 12k ago by a known specialist but the timing was out and the dephaser wasn't replaced. Also...
Looks clean. I have one myself and it still surprises me at times.
As others have said make sure the belt is done by someone with knowledge of this engine. There a piles of horror stories on here.
My mate had one. Wasnt that quick and had £15,000 worth of warranty work in 6 months. He sold it and bought a much older 911 turbo which has been ultra reliable.
Don't risk the fact the cambelt 'may' have been changed. Everyone will recommend changing the dephaser pulley at the same time.
Make sure you send it somewhere who has knowledge of the engine and the correct timing tools. There's plenty of horror stories on here of backstreet garages that have...
