That's one of the many reasons I have been mx5 for 5 years. Did over 40 full trackdays & never missed a beat. My Clios were always falling apart with less hammer.

Spend money on tuition rather than modifications, you will be quicker. Don't agree with if you want to go faster buy a faster car, for me this is the fun part mixing it with cars that should leave me for dead.

I think the guy he us quoting must of been running the NS2 which are rubbish & nothing like the NS2R. The side walls are rock hard on these by the way. I use them on road & track & have the soft option, but FM are they noisy!!! The RSR was a better tyre to live with.

I went jap 5 yrs ago just got an RC for Xmas.

Are these mint Trophy's actually mint?? Dought it. I bought mine with 3417 miles on the clock & sold it with 17000 miles, that was mint! Don't get me wrong they were good cars but the drive compared to my mates R26R not even on the same planet.

I use trackday tyres for most of the year. The r888 used to sound like a knackered old land rover, the NS2R's are really loud, the RS2 & RSRs were fine.

I had cracks in my RSRs they just wore out, lasted two years of road & track. My mate gave me a brand new set of NS2R for what was left on them (red lines) & then proceeded to win the next six races in Max5. Don't believe all you read. There are two rubber compounds though.

NS2R forget the tyre snobs they know nothing. As mentioned above one is a road legal track tyre the other is a road tyre. For the money nothing comes close. I remember three or four years mentioning the RSRs got shot down, look how good they are. I run the NS2R at present & not had any issues.

I could not get anyone to do my MX5, half the size of your car, locally to me? Only wanted a hobbyist to tidy it up for me. You got lucky with £65 I was prepared to pay way more!

No one cleaned a soft top?

Have used renovo for the past few years. What is the g tech L1 like? How much will I need to do the job? Whats best for cleaning the top before applying the L1? Cheers :D

I was paying £50 BB & phone & not even infinity. Paid LR up front got discount (& only 12 month contract) & now have unlimited infinity, BT vision etc for £35. In my area the vision has no problems. I wanted footie & Moto GP so had no options.

This is very common. The top corner catches the bodywork slightly. At the World Series think there were 16 Trophy's most had this, so would not worry about that. Your looking at a nine year old car don't expect it to be like new ;)

What is it with the RS department are they trying to kill the marque off?? They cannot shift the RS clios in any numbers, must be looking at Ford & thinking whoops got that decision wrong. The meg is a good car but £30k - 40k + seriously. They never produced the full production run of r26r as...

Just had a set of the 120's fitted. So far a bit noisy & by Christ were they slippy straight from the off :eek: Need to get the surface roughed up. Not complaining as were cough cough.

So true. I like my pads they are supplied by a race team, mate uses cup racer pads in his r26r, boy do they bite.
