If not and you go carefully with some 3000g you should be able to hand polish out any marks inflicted to the surround area
You may be ok in your 1.4 mate as you have probably got room to change the parts without having to lift the engine out
With the Williams its an engine out job really to replace the cambelt and water pump.....hence why you should replace both if one needs doing. This way you dont have 2 lots of...

When I had the Williams engine and gearbox fitted into my Hybrid I had everything changed while the engine was out, even clutch and headgasket just to be sure

Waterpump should always be changed when you have the cam belt done as the cambelt needs to come off to replace it.
Will cost £100's just to change a £26ish part now
You will struggle unless you have a specialist near by.
I get mine (meguiars unigrit 2500 & 3000) from tinterweb.
Make sure you get Unigrit Stryker as they are the most uniform out of the w&d. Dont buy the cheap s**t from Halfrauds or local motorfactors as you will probably cause more damage.

I also need some mounts fabricating for my 4 pots so I can take them off of the williams and fit them to the 172. Was going to get tham all made up at the same time.
There well worn Ben and the holes are out of centre as are the rubber top mounts. Oh and I seem to be missing one of them lol
