apart from the obvious visual difference, is there anything else or just purely the style of the end pipe?
i've got a ktec recessed exhaust and i'm considering trying to find a swap for a stealth back box (i've just bought a replacement bumper with no cut out)
edit: in response to post #3
people don't think like that though. half won't have a clue on the difference between trophys and 182/172s anyway. however much you do to it it'll always be a 182 and people who can afford the best clio will always want a trophy. it holds a state of grandeur when it...
yup
at first glance. it may well be worth that much because of the low miles and its condition, but it is trophy money.
the problem is you're appealing to a very small audience at the moment, one that will appreciate the modifications. my advice would be to return it to standard if you want £5k...
these don't come up often

it's the bit about the keys being handed over in a public place. i assume after you've chapped the payment across. um, maybe no viewings because all you'll see is this

If I had a garage. Well that and the money.

i would have said they've fitted a wider tyre with a lower profile to compensate for the affect on the rolling radius, but it doesn't actually make too much difference. a 205/40 is 5mm less radius than a 195/45 and a 205/45 is 5mm more. stick with 45 for comfort :)
forgot about the garage having to drop the subframe. that's definitely the garage+manifold idea out the window. only other option i guess then is getting one of ktecs link pipe and using it to get the car to the garage after fitting manifold myself, then flog the link pipe after it's done.
just...
that for both pipes? cheaper than i thought. only issue i have is i would prob have to get the manifold fitted by the garage to ensure the pipes are chopped to a good fit
hi, i'm considering getting a 182 manifold for my 172. i know i'll need a cat and a decat modified to fit. i've got a 172 cat and a decat- how much would do you think it would be to get both the cat and decat cut and welded to fit the manifold and exhaust?

who wants to tell him his car is worth £1k less than he thinks?
agreed if the problem is persistent. i'm thinking back to when i bought my car and the emissions light was on. car ran fine, so i cleared the fault and it never came back. that's a good example of when you can just clear a fault :) funnily enough i never got an EML when my primary lambda sensor...
that hose isn't too bad. but consider this, if there's oil marks in the hose, that oil will also be in other places within the air intake system, up until it enters the cylinder head and there's a few sensors on it's way. i can't think of what is where, on previous cars i've had there's been a...
occasion 1. i had a flat spot at 6k, changed the plugs, all good
occasion 2. it struggled alot and had a lot of trouble revving, changed lambda sensor, all good
if you look at the 4th pic at the long narrow grill just above the plate, in the corners of that grill you usually get black tabs, ie

it can be charged, if vat has been reclaimed for whatever reason. i think.
