422's with ITB's FTW. more power and torque than standard from idle, never flat always pulls from 1500rpm.
IMO either go the whole hog charged/turbo/itbs or spend the money on something else than the engine, wish i had lol ! (could have traded mine in and got a 5 yr old R34 GTR with the money...
what does a standard 1*2 make then if TDF rollers are lower reading than RS tuning? 120? LOL
what did yours make at RS tuning last year?
TBH, i'm not bothered if it made 10 bhp, i know it keeps up with £70k 911's, and it always makes me smile, and i don't know how i still have my licence, lol
Did 217 at RS Tuning last year, hopefully around that mark
(Was 1st tuned by GDI @ 233)
I just hope i don't have a repeat of 3 years ago when it first went to GDI (where TDF is now), as it spun a big end bearing and spent 3 months there!
Re: r26 progress thread. (mods delete old thread)
Glad i haven't got a megane. Why didn't you buy a R26R in the first place? instead of making a R26 lighter?
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
f0xy, your clutch looks the same as mine did after killing it on a santa pod weekend. 100% guarentee it was slipping that killed it, yours just took longer than mine did ( about 6 secs iirc!)
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Yeah fixed bias, not connected to beam. you could leave yours connected in theory if set up right for being lowered/less weight
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
F0xy, i believe that the only bias adjustment is in the rear bias valve (that's fixed at factory) on a cup braking system
Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild]
My coilpack is mounted the same and mines fine. i had a magnecor lead go down recently and it caused misfiring sometimes, not everytime. (i didn't think it was the lead and changed the plugs twice) the engine must be earthed or the starter...
I did, does front and rear camber, front and rear toe, all at the same time. takes some setting up and is purely functional and not at all pretty, but seems to work ok.
