Id take it back to renault. I had a similar problem on my fiat bravo and a dealr told me it was something they call "clutch judder" and is normal, but my sluch f**ked up about a month after they told me that!
I did have a clifford alarm on an old car but really its £250 + just for the sticker and LED. If someone wants to steal your car they will steal it which is why I dont bother having one fitted. I draw the line at having an immobiliser though (youve got to put up some sort of fight) but I rekon a...
Im just about to get some clifford stickers made for my new 172, I got some clifford G4 stickers made up for my last car and they did the trick as it never got touched. They have the G4 logo and CLIFFORD written in white and transfer onto the inside of your window and measure about 10mm high and...
PS Novas are superb cars, what other cars of that age are still so popular? I had a 1.3SR I used to show and I loved it. For young drivers theyre unbeatable. Weigh about as much as the driver and look pretty good too with the right mods. I would think a lot of the old nova boys are buying 172s...
One dealer I spke to said that this was something that all new 172 have had for about 8 months. Is this true and how do you tell if you have it on the car or not when you get it?
PS I havent picked mine up yet - 7 days to go :D
well yeah but all you need is 1 claim free year and your laughing. Just checked the policy details and you dont have to stump up the excess. If you make a cliam yourself they just deduct the excess from the payout. Obviously if you hit someone else your in the sh*t, but if you bump someone and...
Check your plugs for sooting m8, I had a similar problem on my Bravo and its one that keep reoccuring. One of the plugs keeps sotting up and causes problems similar to the ones you describe .
Firstly I apologise if Im teaching granny to suck eggs here but I thought Id share some info Ive gathered whilst sorting out inurance for the new 172.
I got quoted £2000 from direct line to start with (Im 23 6 points and 1 accident) but if you ask to increase the voulantry excess it brings...
Theyre f**kers arent they m8? A mate of mine tapped a geezer at some traffic lights (when I say tapped he litrally hit the guy at 0.5 to 1 mph) the sum total of the damaged was a cracked numberplate. Two weeks later my mate gets a letter from the other guys solicitors saying that hes been off...
11K is a good price m8 youve done well there. M8 of mine was offered 10 and a half on an 8 month old 172 about a month ago. CTR is mu next motor for definite. I havent even picked my new 172 up yet!
yeah the bravos been a top car. The ride is fantatic (even on the lowered shocks + with the 17s) the driving position is about the best Ive ever seen. But it does chug and only returns about 26 MPG (Really) and thats with totally zero engine mods. I wish Idve bought a 2.0 HGT now but never mind...
