    yeah common, you have to clean up the stub axle with some sand paper first to get rid of all the rust and stuff, that bearig that fell apart is now scrap BTW :(

    ^its actally pretty common, spin a big end/rod bolts let go, piston smashes into head and bits fly ot the exhaust!

    heat cycles is what kills them (ie age) milage is irrelevant really, i've never seen a belt snap on one, its the plastic idlers that fail first (or the kit has been fitted wrong 90% of the time LOL!
